❤the Yorkshire Dales! A lovely wee ramble and some sad but interesting history. Some of those scarecrows were worryingly life-like but a great effort by the folk of Kettlewell. Maybe catch up in the Lakes next week? I'll be in touch 👍
Hi Ian! Yep, we’ll both be around next weekend. We’ve both got the lurgy at the moment courtesy of the office Dave works in 😷 but out rambling right now coughing like Bob Phlegming. Well Dave is anyway 😂
Nice video yet again. I'd never been up Great Whernside & had been thinking about that round for over a year. Two weeks ago a friend & I went up GW but were advised by a friendly party of ladies that it was very boggy going up to Buckden Pike. They were correct, it was very wet, we'd had enough by Mere Top and headed back down via Cam Head. One to re-visit, maybe while frozen or in the summer.
Hi Duncan! Thank you, lovely to hear from you. Buckden Pike’s bogs have put us off many a time too, but it seemed to have improved a bit, at least on the flagged side of the wall anyway. I agree the frost would make it much easier. We tried once in the snow but was taking an age for every step 😂 I have snow shoes now, a great place to try ‘em out 😀
Cool start with the models Sue - digging the tardis. Some large landscape out there and a bit of bog bashing - always fun eh as well as clothing changes of course. I loved the space up there - I'd enjoy that for sure. In fact I'm sure many a scout has done - fantastic hostel. Well, a great day out. All the best up there. Mark
Hi Mark 😊 You a Dr Who fan? I thought you’d appreciate the bog bashing, throw in some waist high heather & you’d be in gnarly heaven 😉 Those scarecrows were fantastic. Lovely to see such a full on community effort, it was a great day for everyone.
@@FIVE-FOOTLyth Well, maybe a fan when young. Ha ha, gnarly heaven with bog and waist high heather. Like it! Perhaps some clag too! Yeah, community energy is good. Have a cool weekend.
Always tricky know what to wear lots or little one of the hassles of hiking 🥾 this time of year Sue I find Sad tail of the Polish air men 🥲 But the scarecrows where uplifting to see 👍🤠 All the very best to Dave Regards Simon 🤠👍🏔️
Thanks Simon. Despite the sad incident on Buckden Pine, I really enjoyed this one 😍 not often Kettlewell gets so busy! It was a charming surprise, all those amazing scarecrows
Hey Owen 😄 It’s my favourite book/movie… pleased you recognised the caterwauling 😂😂 I have taken inspiration from one of your videos.. not this one, you’ll know when you see it 😉
What is this town? Hahaha those figures were hilarious and creepy😂 Funny enough it reminds me of a novel I'm currently working on where the majority of the population in the town are mannequins. Felt like I got a visual sneak peek of my own imagination😂 I feel like I say it every time but gosh, those views Sue; so, SO stunning! It gets better for each of your videos though each of the places you hike are astounding. Those sheep are very blessed to live there haha what an emotional story of the crash and the survivor. Had Dyke was beautiful though. Lovely to see such an old building being taken care of and used. I'm not going to visit it though, since Dave said it was haunted 😅 What a lovely adventure once again Sue, thanks for the laughs and the views! Hope both you and Dave are well. Much love and light, always ❤
Thank you, dear Frederike 😍 What a coincidence, you working on your novel which echoes this video 😲 I’ve thought more than once that we have a bit of a connection, so there you go! They were wonderful, those mannequins, such a lot of work, so many of them in such a small village. Very glad you enjoyed this, and you MUST tell me when your book is ready 🤗
