On any rock/metal concert, the crowd makes noise and headbangs. When buckethead's on stage, everyone just stares in awe and listens. It truly is unique.
My dad introduced me to buckethead back in 2005. He passed away December 2022. I find peace listening to his songs, and think of my dad. He had a wig, mask and several KFC buckets with a funeral sticker. Im glad he introduced me to his music.
Just got my first bucket n mask don’t know why but I’m addicted to playing in it got the hair already but your dad sounds like a straight legend my man maybe you should give one a shot might feel some weird connection idk 😅
A few years ago showed this song to 2 of my friends. After a while some tears where flowing down my face. As they saw it they started laughing at me. I couldnt understand why people would at someone who is crying. I packed my stuff, left, and never went to see them again
Wow, a lot of sad ass people commenting on this. I wouldn’t have taken them laughing so offensively, but it’s cool to cry man. Just don’t let it happen too much or it makes you even sadder
SidMachinery I could say you’re not of this world. Maybe the same thing happens to me. The difference is I’m always alone but this... this make me dream, fly, laugh, cry. It’s impossible to describe with words. I understand what you feel more than you know
Fun fact: Padmasana is Sanskrit for Lotus Position, which is the common position used in sitting meditation. I've seen threads of Buddhism in his discography at times, and if you listen to his 2017 interview he talks about using visualization to help himself overcome stage fright (visualization is a very common meditation technique used in Vajrayana buddhism). Needless to say, he is in touch with and very interested in exploring the vastness of mind and sharing those experiences with us in 300+ albums. Awesome!
2:19 - 3:52 He played shy on that sequence because he knows he's composed the most beautiful interlude of the world in any song ever, and he did not want to conceive a disloyal note, plus he was crying.
@@jasonrichardson2458 buckethead has been known to have a tear bag inside his mask which catches all his tastiest tear filled notes. He bathes in his own tears but it's been known to take up to 4 live shows or 18 pikes for the amount he needs.
A week ago, I knew very little about Buckethead. Other than his name always showing up on list of top guitarists, etc. - I am a fan for life! btw, regarding so many posts that show up on these Slash/Buckethead performances:Lets agree that Slash is amazing. Buckethead is amazing. Lets say we spend our time listening and enjoy their music. And, I dunno know. Spend the rest of our time taking care of our families, building houses for the poor, reading a classic book, etc.
he puts his intire heart and soul into every single note he picks.that's why the whole song is amazing. So to say that this is easy for him would be wrong.
I absolutely love Buckethead and this song, i relate to it really well occasionally in times of sadness... I think many of his songs have an intensely somber, lonely feel to them, but that's one of the main reasons i love him... I can relate to it very well right now
its people like this who make some people who arnt as gifted feel amazing for the moments they listen to they're songs. thank you zakk wylde, joe perry, buckethead, kirk cobaine...and my person fav cliff burton ...he can play the bass and make you cry...carry on music, carry on. thats call i can say i want to say something deep and amazing because of how this song makes me feel but. thats all i got. without music like this it would be hard to slow life down..
See you on so many Buckethead songs. The more I hear the more I am amazed. So much brilliance both as a player and songwriter. Easily the GOAT. Each new song I hear, "Flare", " Padmasana", they are all better than anything anyone has ever done before. And I am in awe of the great musicians and do not say it lightly. Truly a gift for us all.
he is one amazing guy he is the best guitar player i ever heard he is the best i love this song it makes me cry its like soulspeaking just amazing and i agree with all the people who is a fan of buckethead
ok this is just me but some of bucketheads songs creep me out but thats like why i lov him so much!! he just kills it completly on guitar his music like this is what blows me away so soothing it is!!!! am i alone on this?
Buckethead is a god! But that's not all he is. He is also a perfect proof against people, who says different people is nothing but trouble. He's different - A one of a kind, and he could kick EVERYONES ass. He solves peoples problem with his pure music. All hail The Buckethead.
For so long his music has connected with me on such a profound level, it has felt as though I have had many a talk with him in my life. It wasn't until I saw him live that I began to realize that I had never even seen him face to face in my life, very few have, you don't have to.
This is so sick, cause when I listen to the guitar, it doesn't sound like an instrument. It's like a.. voice?! The way the notes are played and very special °-°
I couldn't agree more. There are only a handful of guitarists who are on this level. The mind to muscle connection and his ability to express what's on his mind through the guitar is incredible. When my friends don't understand my appreciation for this I try to explain that this guy plays the guitar more fluently and expressively than they understand and speak their native language. They are almost illiterate compared to him.
Sorry Buckethead but u are Not From our planet hard to explain ! what we can do ! what we can heard......u only u ! touching my soul by this PADMASANA ! i wanna heard this song one day , in my last breath......i will be thankfull....forever PEACE
.... Bucket lets it all out at 7:28.... Look at his face throughtout the whole video , i think he went through so much he took it out on his guitar...beautifull...
he just stands there almost lifeless with no emotion shown with that white face mask. he channels all the emotion though his guitar, the crown are just mesmorised by the sound. amazing.
Lucky fuck!!! I wouldve killed to be at this show...I personally think this is the best solo show he ever played...he had the band with him, amazing setlist and the songs he played this night are all my favorite live versions...he was on fire this night"
I love when he turns sideways and looks up. Its so cute. Haha. Its like its too easy for him he doesnt even need to think and instead looks at the time on the clock hanging on the wall or something.
What can I say? There are people out there who call him no more than a technician, who compare Slash favorably with him, and he has tunes out like THIS. And not only this, but 32 albums, of the most diverse, eclectic, and yes, technically perfect guitar music in the last 20 years. And he did it with a fucking Bucket on his head. Lady Gaga could learn a thing or two from him
I'm going to get the part that start at 5:00 (album version) tattooed on me. This song got me through a lot and remains my favourite song of all time. Already got the bucket/mask/hair tatted on me...
I just love this version of him playing such a tearjerker.... so many people who have even heard of him rank him as a shredder and that's it! I have only heard of him as recently as 2 years yet his playing spans a huge array of styles and he is so natural and fluid in them all......not to mention emotive too. I easily rate him as my favourite guitarist ever!
no you are wrong actually Padmasana is a term derived from sanskrit word padma meaning lotus, and āsana means seat or throne. It is a Yoga meitative position
Padmasana is a japanese meditative position. Meditation is meant to be relaxing, which I believe is the point of this piece. To be relaxed, or in a meditative state while having something easy to listen to. Not sad by any means.
