I was there. @,@ It was...life changing. I saw him again this year 5/28/16 same place, the Culture Room. What can I say ? He's a real life super hero. Buckethead has transcended his mortal body...he turned into music.
saw him last night at Ace of Spades in Sacramento. What can i say? He's a guitar god. I like this version of Embalmer better than the one he did last night but the Soothsayer he played for us was INSANE, my favorite i've ever heard :)
The one man show this the best version of this song his haunting guitar solo was amazing, were lucky some one filled this , he never play any of his songs twice there all a little bit different from show to show , I don't think bucket gets the credit he deserves I think alot people just think he is weird guy the whole wearing a bucket and mask refuses to talk use some little weird puppet if he does when he got his get up on until you have heard him play don't judge a book by it's cover this guy is one of greatest guitarists ever he can play every style you can think of the goat he can go from blinding speed shredding to Playing beautiful ballad type stuff to making sounds you would never expect to hear from a guitar , the goat this guy is a freak of nature no one can emulate his Playing he is able to play some of the most difficult technique there are and Make it look easy will I the bucket and mask thing sort of turn people off that hasn't heard him before
Agreed. I find I latch onto certain versions. Somebody will post Soothsayer saying this is the best version and I'm like no that was '06 at the Great American Music Hall ( or maybe Variety Playhouse.. .can't recall ). I like all of this stuff but there are some nights where he does something in the song that just totally elevates and sets that version above the other times. I have favorites of them all over the years in various venues.
MrH4ppyDud3 Kill switches, they short circuit the guitar to mute its sound. :) So he can make the cutt offs and different bounces using delay, just like having a controlled tremelo effect. :D
My only problem with live shows is the WOOO tribe. No applause, whistle, nothing but WOOO now.😑. Must drive these artists nuts now...smartphones and WOOO...smh.👎🏼
