Dog is carrying his own back pack? 😁💕😁

Yes, he loves feeling like he has a job to do. My other dog, a chocolate lab used a backpack for over 500 miles of hiking but sadly he lost his vision and can no longer go on these hikes. Thanks for watching!!

Great video. I never get tired of that area of Arkansas. Spent a week there in October. Can't decide if I like it more with the leaves on the trees or not. great either way.

Thank you! i love being back in Arkansas and hope to get back sooner next time. I thinks it's pretty awesome with and without leaves and especially when they're changing colors..

Buddy looks like a great hiking dog. It was really nice seeing you back out in the woods again with your channel! I hope you will keep putting in the mulls and will always be trekking on.

Good to see a new video from you again, Paul. With a TrailBUDDY, too. And a nice closing song.

Thank you!! I thing Buddy is going to turn into a great hiking dog. He gets a little psycho when he sees other people so he definitely needs some work. I recorded the song in my living room and hope I can get into a real studio sometime and do it justice, thanks for commenting on the song!!!

This is a great little trail and this makes the 3rd time I've done it now. It's a great overnighter with some killer views. Buddy is doing great except when we come across other people he freaks out a little. German Shepards are so protective. thanks for checking it out!!

It was a fun little hike and I appreciate you going with me, it makes it a lot more fun hiking with a friend. Just need to figure out to get Buddy to calm down when he sees the people. Talk to you soon!!!!

Arkansas has such great trails and an overnighter can be so good for you. Looks like Buddy did great. Katy Falls was really nice and reminds me of an old Backpacker magazine article years ago that said Arkansas has the cleanest purest water of ANYWHERE in the country. Good to see you again and Merry Christmas Paul.

Thanks Tony, I hope you had a great christmas. Arkansas does have the clearest water I've ever seen. All of that Novaculite "razor stone" strips the water of all impurities and makes it so beautiful. I would feel comfortable if my filter malfunctioned there and I had to drink straight from the creek. Take Care!!!

Hey!! I know Robby! He's also here in DFW. Glad you got to do the Caney Wilderness....that place is stupid beautiful. If you cross over the top of Katy Falls, you'll find a trail that takes you up to a really nice campsite. Most people just do East Caney to Buckeye and miss how gorgeous the West Caney area is. If you ever go back, you can make it a balloon loop by parking at the West Caney Trailhead, crossing the Cossatot (calf high when the river isn't up) then hike the loop. It does get a little overgrown due to it being a "Wilderness Area" and more difficult to maintain, but managable to follow....although a gpx file can prove useful. I hope you get to go back and see the entire trail next time. Great video and fun to see you back out on the trail!

Thanks for checking it out! Robby and I started talking on youtube and became friends and he actually came out to see the band I'm in a few times so we decided to go on a hike together. I love this trail and it's actually my 3rd time to hike it. the first two times I did start at caney creek west and hike the entire loop and it is a little hard to follow but I did manage. I'm happy to be getting back on trail but since I joined the band I don't have the time to go on any long hikes for a while so it's going to be a bunch of small hikes for me in the future. I'll take what I can get and I hope to get back out sooner next time. Thank you for watching and commenting!! I really enjoyed your dive trip!!!!

WAIT!!! Robby went to a metal show?? OMG, I'd pay good money to see that! 😂😂😂 I'm happy to hear you've seen the whole West Caney. The good news is that there *might* be something in the works to get that trail better maintained. I've been wanting to get over there and make a "how to" video of that trail. Nothing wrong with taking a break from one passion to focus on another, but it was great to see a new video from you back out there getting dirty. Hope to see some more since the weather is cooling down.

I was gettin worried bout how you were doing. I'm really glad to see you're still out there and back on the Ouachita. I'm so excited about this year. I have 2 weeks off and a brand new Offset Solo under the tree right now. Lets see what I can make out of it.

I've been doing great! I joined a band this Summer so I haven't been able to get away for hiking so I will probably be doing a lot of shorter hikes coming up. I hope you can get out on a trail and test out your new gear. Take care my friend!!!
