Love this Album so many great tracks. Whatever about what happened later, they really did bring the best out of one another (even when things had gone off the rails). If I recall correctly, this (like Stefanie) is about Stevie, but she didn't want Lindsey using her name as the context was pretty evident, and so it became Lola.
@@thaboiiii6855 this song was used as the basis for The Chain, Stevie contributed very little to The Chain, and Keep Me There was used for the iconic bass line and ending of The Chain (also produced by Buckingham). Buckingham composed and produced a all of Fleetwood Mac’s music including Stevie’s and Christine’s songs.
@@thaboiiii6855 yea I know the demo, they only used like one line from her lyrics in The Chain. Buckingham is the one who made all of Stevie’s songs. She’s a great songwriter but she would be nothing without Lindsey
Sections of this track were 'spliced' into The Chain using old fashioned tape and razor blade to combine the elements. Actually, apart from the drums and bass the whole track is created from previously recorded songs (Check Christine McVie's Keep Me There to hear the original chord structure) and with heavy use of the 'Tape Splicing' method. Simply genius!
I always imagined that before they took Lindsey and Stevie into the band, the existing members of Fleetwood Mac said "we'll let you join, but this song is now ours, and it's now called The Chain. Welcome, HR will give you your login credentials."
If Welch doesn’t quit when he did Mick, John, and Christine would of remained a glorified club act. Buckingham Nicks didn’t need FM, FM needed Buckingham Nicks..
You wouldn't be able to play them if you got it. This is in no way easy. The percussive guitar work will for sure slow you down. Good news. Just slow down the you tube track and you can get it. Take your time note by note. That is how I do it. Then I put them on tabs.
