Great to see Buckley (my home) getting some love on RU-vid. The wasteland on your right used to be garage then a furniture store. It was sold off brick by brick. Buckley has great heritage trails that go past the sites of the old clay pits, coal pits and brick works. Across the road form the Chinese takeaway was were the Cross Keys pub used to be before it became flats. Never been in the Shamrock. The church on your right with the message sign on the pavement has an American pastor there is church in the US that sends them over to reach out to heathen Welsh. There is a Buckley Heritage Magazine sold in Fred's News agents.
Are Buckley people still known as Buckley mugs? A nickname given to residents on account of the pottery works using Buckley clay. Apparently there was a large influx of folk from Stoke to work there. I was told that this accounted for the different accent of residents to other areas.
