Why is it LJ constantly basically gets a pass for the lack of a pass rush and the nondevelopment of the defensive line? His recruiting is lackluster at best. The BOSA'S came here because of URBAN , Chase Young same thing. Since then where has the development and pass rush been? Secondly to put the blame on Knowles is ludicrous , dude is being defensive coordinator while having one of his hands tied behind his back because LJ wont budge off of always playing a 4-3 front.

Question on Knowles scheme for the DE in it does he want his DE to only rush the outside shoulder? Read that was his style, if thats the case he’s to blame for the poor pass rush not LJ. Set those DE guys loose to wreak havoc.
Not to mention that Knowles did not adjust really at all in the Oregon game, even after seeing what he was doing wasn't working. That's mind-boggling and quite concerning. It was almost identical to ttun game

Until shown otherwise, we haven't beaten a team with comparable talent to ours, since Clemson 2020. We keep acting as if our team is unbeatable but has yet to prove it on the field. Typical of a paper champion. Our coaching staff has shown nothing over the past 3 years. It's stubborn and doesn't vary against its tendencies. That's why we lose these types of games. Other teams actually do something different than what they've shown on film. What a novel idea. Our team just lines up and play. Actually be a coach and scheme or get out of the way and allow someone else who will.
The offense hasn’t been any issue so far this season, they didn’t get any help from the defense at all but a few times during the game!! The defense had me sold that it was going to be very elite this year, until they were finally matched up vs an opponent that is just as talented it just looked awful from the defense!!! Especially Denzel Burke which completely floored me from his performance, I heard that Denzel ran his mouth before the game and I think that came back to HAUNT HIM!!! I don’t know exactly what happened besides he looked so much slower, weak trying to tackle the wide receiver!. I don’t know but those were very glaring issues with the defense, OSU’s defense front had better pick it up if they expect to challenge for any championship!!! They got to get pressure PERIOD
Knowles is a joke. He try’s to run these insane schemes and all this complex shit. He makes the defense think too much instead of react. They have the best talent in the nation and Knowles is trying to to them into students instead of animals with a killer instinct. The Silver Bullets haven’t been the same for a long time.
Couldn't agree more. The reason why we're worried about the o-line is because the o-line recruiting has sucked over the last three years. Ryan Day doesn't understand the importance of football being played in the trenches or recruiting cycles in general. He waits too long to make a change, when everyone notices it years in advance. You can't keep missing with o-line recruiting considering how it takes years to build man strength. Just don't get it. The fanbase has been saying for two years now, that eventually the lack of elite o-line recruiting will bite us and it's here.
When they were at the 28 yard line... Why not spread that D out with four wide, have Trey in the pistol as if to block... then run a draw? I bet with those 35 seconds they could have had two run plays, gain maybe 10 more yards... then the timeout and kick the FG. It was bad... Now the D... who knows. No one else in the country will run an O like Oregon... But the D must be much better.

If you have faith Day can lead the most talented team in CFB for 2-3 wins through the CFB playoff.. he’s a great offensive coordinator. He is not a CFB head coach. Lou Holtz was right.. he is soft. THC shilling.. pathetic.
So OSU should only beat big teams n lose to small teams… Yes they hv come up short in the big games but gees Ryan is a solid 9/10 coach… some people need to become coaches…. All the comments along this line of thinking are absolutely ridiculous. Let me help you understand....... Yes, Ryan Day is a good over all coach. His 45-0 record against mediocre teams and little sisters of the poor is great. However, virtually any "good" coach in the country would win all those games with OSU resources. Here's a perfect example I've seen made.......If you switch Ryan Day and PJ Fleck (Minnesota coach), do think either teams record would be different? PJ Fleck would have won all those same games, but it's possible he might have even won a couple of the top 5 games. Would Minnesota be better with Ryan Day? Highly doubtful, Ryan Day has made a career of doing less with more. So this is the thinking of "anti Ryan Day" people. Record is great vs scrubs, but any other good coach could have done the same. One other point.....Urban Meyer lost to Iowa and Purdue, yet won a Natty. Would you rather be perfect 45-0 against scrubs yet win nothing, or lose an occasional ridiculous game like Purdue yet also win a Natty?
OMG When can we admit it...Donivan Jackson is a horrible Guard let alone tackle?! If he was Shawn Jones or whatever name, and he was a 3 star recruit from Springfield, OH he would never have seen the field yet
