I'd take my gamble in a Jeff Van Gundy over doc rivers lol. They need somebody with experience though. Haynes says McMillan, Doc and JVG. Not a bad list... Doc has the best resume. But he's underachieved as we know
What else are their options lol? Like Terry Stotts, McMillan, JVG. Not bad coaches, but I see why they're going doc. Better resume even tho he's underachieved big time
How are people saying they never seen this? Cavs fired Blatt in 2016 and they were 30-11. Also they won the chip in that same season with Ty Lue (rookie HC at that point in time), so it’s not unprecedented.
Who else is there??? I mean McMillan, Stotts, JVG all have worse playoff records. They need an experienced coach. Sure I mean nobody has underachieved more than Dic. He should have 2,3 championships with talent he's had
@@Noahwarriorsfanthere choice should have been to keep the coach they have now and work with him an tell giannis that’s the best your gonna get this season. They’re gonna wanna fire doc after the season too😐
Why? So their odds are worse with Doc than it is with Griffin? Lol. Anyone with head coaching experience will be better than Griffin. Doc gets all that hate, but in 24 years of coaching, he only has 5 losing seasons. Giannis would be arguably the best player Doc has ever coach & he's currently in his prime. Yall acting like there are other options out there at the moment, Doc is definitely one of the top options, if not the top, unless if you want to try & convince Phil Jackson or Pat Riley out of retirement. Lol
@@lazzi2462doc is underachieving. 1 ring because of KG, is only thing good. Look at all his other teams, filled with stars but always blundering in playoffs. Looks good in regular seasons only
@@lucky889s9 Yeah, but answer the question, what other candidates were there? Yall acting like there were a pool of 30 hall of fame coaches available. 😂 Doc always had choking players as well come playoff time, T-Mac, CP3, Harden, Embiid, etc. He had Kawhi for one year & they fired him that year, it's tough to do something in one year with the best player you ever coached, especially when that guy is always load managing. Lol
@@noconsent Seeing yall talk like this, it's obvious yall don't watch actual games. It's not about improving win percentage. They played the Pistons on Saturday & last night, who happen to be the worst team in the NBA, & they had trouble winning. They're winning just based on talent, just Giannis & Dame bailing them out every single game, not because of Griffin's coaching. Watch some actual games rather than basing on stats, records, & highlights. Griffin didn't know what he was doing. Lol
Actually it is the opposite that happened. The report is wrong on this. He was not too controlling, the players felt they call the shots and the coach doesn't do his job. The way team played showed that too.
@@Djo4200naw dame is a densive deficiency everybody knows that..players have to want to play defense it at just Giannis out there they had a better record than last year at this point ..personally I think they didn't like GRIFFIN because he held those divas accountable just my opinion

What's asinine is all the great team is Doc Rivers has coached lol. They narrowed it down to McMillan, Doc, JVG. Who would you go with? I'd prob take a risk in JVG, but that's a risk with him having not coached in awhile

Mark Jackson deserves it the way they are blackballing him......if not I wish he would go back to commentating cause we all miss his voice....."momma there goes that man"
@@theetruth8626 it was never that we saw more than one time that they had coaching issues on the court. It was his first year and his office of coordinator who is trying to have a talk with Dame Giannis together he started a pissing contest. The bench called him out. You can tell he didn’t know any offense of schemes the players had to tell them how to run the defense with Brooke
@@theetruth8626 Lol the superstars "who don't fit" are the reason this team has such a good record. Dame and Giannis are literally bailing this team out night after night. Just with Dame being on the court Giannis is averaging 31 on 60%fg (never been done before). He just doesn't know how to make use of Dame.
Right. If you're really a bucks fan and you've watched all games. Most of the times it's frustrating to watch even though they are winning. If it's not for dame and giannis they won't be having a 30-13 season.

All the teams that he coach for, had players with problems. Something was always wrong or someone didn't like the other player..or someone was hurt for half of the season. .. Tell the truth yo..🤔...ill tell you only if you really want to know..everyone acting like they forgot about those teams 😂😂
@@user-gy2mz3gx2u nah he was the problem. Couldn’t manage players and doesn’t make adjustments. You not knowing that just means you don’t keep up or watch
None of y'all have been watching this team play at all. The coach was a serious bad hire. The body language of the players and their effort on the court says it all. The record means nothing. It's the development of the team to reach the playoff potential that matters.
You're not making sense!! They're 30-13. So he was doing SOMETHING right!! Sad to have all credit to the players then say their losses are due to players not buying in... Cos all that tells me is they all wanna play offense only Which is basketball 101 since forever. PLEASE EXPLAIN how Doc Rivers will inspire Dame into becoming "Pat Bev"mm
@@shanepleasants6280 no bud still had his problems like allowing teams to shoot 3s. We lost game 5 to nets that way, game 1 to hawks, Celtics series(khris also out), and heat series they shot 45% as a team with Duncan shooting 75% from 3 He got exposed every playoffs but bucks were able to overcome it in 21
I feel like Doc gets toooo much blame for STAR PLAYERS not showing up! PG cap out on him! Emiid… can’t even name a great playoff performance he has had, CP flamed out in those LA days….. he gets tooooo much blame for those situations
Bucks front office knew where this was going if they didn't do something drastic. Struggling to get out of the first round and likely getting bounced in the second round. Then the coach would have been gone anyway. Now the next move is to get rid of Middleton and bring in a dog on defense along with some perimeter defense guys. You just can't be giving up 135 points the Detroit. The worst team in the league. Then be in a dog fight the next game with them as a 12 point favorite.
if we're cherry picking stats like 5 of the last 6 let's keep it going. They are also 6 of the past 11 with the last 2 wins being very close against a team with a 9% win rate this season.
As a BuckS fan, it really doesn’t matter who our coach is, you have the far superior team. We let you get Holiday through bad trades. You have the East won. The only team that possibly can deny you a championship is Denver. But I still think you guys win it all
Giannis has carried this team 100% up until this point. Dame has offered some assistance here and there. This team would be looking at being dead last if Giannis wasn't playing.
Nobody was expecting them to hire Adrian Griffin. Doc Rivers was available back then. There’s a lot of options between those 2 levels of coaching experience.
Bucks won by pure talent but most games were a dog fight even against bad teams. They need alot of changes and coach was one. Is Doc the answer? Idk but this is the first team he's coached that has already won a chip
I see a lot of hate on doc rivers but he won a ring. I also don’t agree with the griffin firing. A team with 30 wins and 13 loses doesn’t warrant him being fired. Some teams don’t win games playing defense and the bucks offense was very solid. This was a Giannis and dame request I believe. Good thing I’m not a Milwaukee fan this just sends a bad message to anyone wanting to coach there
He won a ring with three top 75 players and four Hall of Famers in total which he almost lost to one man LeBron and a mediocre CAVS and a 37 wins Hawks team.
@@hitek9too255 and what does this justify for the 29 other teams that lost and haven’t won a ring each and every year lmao. The pistons have 8 wins this year lmao there coach Monty looking like he’s about to get fired yet ???
@@usa5046 Yea and how many Hall of Famers, top 75 players, and DPOYs are on that Pistons team Monty is coaching? The facts remains that Doc coached multiple Hall of Famers, top 75 players, DPOYs, superteams, MVPs, and top role players and has only 1 ring which he barely won, multiple blown leads, and multiple early playoff exists. He's a below average coach.
If you watched every Bucks game so far this season like I have, you would see something was wrong. They barely beat really bad teams and got annihilated by good teams regularly. We can’t forget that there’s a lot of old dudes who just simply cant keep up with you athletic teams like Indiana. The coach had a part in their shortcomings but beyond that these fellas are just past their prime with very few exceptions.
@@richieboy6825 lmao you talking about top 75 players a lot seems like your only defense in a losing disagreement. Your opinion isn’t based on facts like mine so best you quit and take this L in stride.
BS ESPN Narrative. Watch the fckn games, the Bucks have not looked good. Cant protect the paint, being out of position and not rebounding on the defensive side of the ball. We had the best record in the league last year and lost in embarrassing fashion to the play in heat. We've had the easiest schedule in the NBA and struggled to beat a lot of bad teams. When you're trying to win Chips you recognize thatbthe coach you have isnt accomplishing that, you dont waste a season to find out you cant win when you know midseason that you can't win.
It's funny how no one is talking about the problems. Those teams had when doc was coaching. Hes not going to have those weirdos in Milwaukee their organization is different..Go Bucks 🔥👍🏽
Word is great for Griffin he gets paid 3 plus years more to not live in Milwaukee.I think most of the people that live in that city would love that deal
The record is irrelevant, They can roll out the balls and win 50 games, its about Championship level chemistry. They did not look cohesive and they were not defending. They were on a crash course.
Okay fire Griffin if the players are complaining. But replacing him with Doc is ludicrous.!! Finally why don’t we hear 👂 mark Jackson’s name in this scenario.!! Is he really being blackballed by the NBA owners.!!
Doc Rivers relationship with everyone in the media is preventing them from being objective about who Doc really is as an NBA head coach. He is overrated
Winning isn't goal after all? The players are supposed to be professional where ever they doesn't feel great with Griffin coaching style. They are paid millions dollars to play so just play and do your job.
