It didn’t take Doc Rivers long to get another job after parting ways with the Clippers. Doc has agreed to a 5-year deal with the 76ers and will now be tasked with getting Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons over the hump in the East. I told someone earlier in the week that it would not take long for Doc to land someplace. He wasn't fired. He told Ballmer that there were better coaching opportunities out there and that he didn't want to babysit Kawhi and PG13 another season. Doc saw where this soap opera was going. The Clippers and the Nets are the two worst jobs in the league and Doc was smart enough to get up from under one of them. Steven Nash will last a season in Brooklyn with the two head cases before he realizes he walked into an insane asylum. Mark my words. Ole Steve is gonna go running back to Team Canada in a dead sprint.

But wasn't his issue in LA accountability? Lots of load management for PG and Kawhi, and it showed in their playoff run with them getting fatigued in heavy minutes. Rotations were weak with role players struggling against Denver. Players complaining that stars get express treatment, don't work as much. Team falling apart.

The bubble proves who is the best team in the league! No homecourt advantage no road advantage just straight basketball and I love it! I believe if the clippers had a crowd cheering they would've done better . And crowds are a advantage at times but in a bubble where everything is even it's clear that the Lakers are the best on any neutral court

Honestly Skip is right about Doc having the credentials and maybe can help mold Joel and Ben. If he can get Joel to get his body stronger and more fit, he would remain less injured. Make Ben shoot a 100 every night to not only get better but build his confidence.

U think if Doc Rivers couldn't take the clippers to the next level : it's going to happen in Philly.. wake up cheesesteak .. not happening .

Great move by the 76ers. Doc Rivers is a damn good coach. Like Mark Cuban said though about the Clippers. You can change the staff u can change the players coaches ect in the end they are still going to be the Clippers. 76ers will still need some work because that Brooklyn Nets team next season will be a full load.
