It's a damn shame the Rise of Da Moon album was a bad experience because that shit was a breath of fresh air when it dropped. Last year my playlist was Black moon, Sean Price and Lil Fame album and Rock's album. That was my oasis in this age of pill poppin weirdo rap.
Really doe. The fucked up part about it is that the vast majority of folks (when talking about Hip Hop of a dope caliber) only cling to the first project(s) they're introduced to, and they'll never grow beyond that. Honestly, I don't blame the emcees one bit for getting out of the game.

“Rise Of Da Moon” is one of the most musically consistent albums in Hip-Hop I’ve beard in YEARS. It came out in 2019 and I’m STILL bumping that joint. Not every day we get well produced-cohesive albums. Sad this fell through the cracks smfh.
Let me just say for the record that “Rise of the Moon is dope! I purchased the album via iTunes and was really hoping that a lot of people would’ve gave it a listen. Oh well, I guess that’s how it goes these days of purchasing digital music. 🤷🏾♂️ I come from the 90’s Hip Hop era where my after school academics was rushing home to watch Rap City and Yo MTV Raps. Those were the days. 😔

there are still legends today putting out great music that dont have the mentality that Buckshot talking about...u gotta keep the legacy alive for Black Moon. if he talking about record sales and all of that for Rise of the Moon that's the wrong way to look at it. Busta Rhymes just released a classic album last year and he didnt look at at things like Buckshot do and he from the same era as him...its about the music Buckshot...not album sales in todays climate for golden era artists
When who got the props hit the airwaves! It was unheard anything like that at the time evil dees crisp sounds and razor sharp beats had hip hop by the Nuts
Most ppl would say Wu Tang Clan brought back the limelight and Renaissance of rap back to NY when the West Coast took over for a period of time but in all actuality Black Moon kicked it off first although Wu Tang put the stamp down and solidified it. Unfortunately Black Moon got overshadowed by the Wu and eventually Nas,Biggie came in the scene and the rest is history.

The 90's generation "CREATORS of the GOLDEN AGE" are the owners of HIP HOP. We built the HOUSE called HIP HOP. We made it what it is PERIOD! The other people are just guests and visitors...in the house that we built!!!
Black Moon was cool for a minute! My personal opinion is lyrical content got deeper and buck shot stayed stagnant lyrically! and they got left behind Wu Tang got big Nas was blowing up and Biggie was Brooklyn & mop! I know Shorty woke and respect is still due

Buck’s a legend and Black Moon has made some legendary music, but it just sounds like he’s whining here. No one cares about what you’re wearing or what you’re talking about, just make good music. The reason why Rise of da Moon flopped was because it sucked, plain and simple. The beats were weak and Buck sounds horrible now.
Buck outlasted no one lol, I haven't heard music out of Him in years and no one needs to get signed to them cause Indy artists make way more money way faster!
