If you were a fan of the two as a child, the game will probably be a childhood dream come true. Through the hole review, I was amazed at how many references to the movies were alone in this video. I looks like that every mini game is a iconic scene of one of their movies. And I was humming with the music - maybe the best part of the game. As a child who was a big fan of Bud Spencer movies, I would defenetly would have freaked out if I could have played the game back then.

Don't even get me started on the music.Masterpiece! Every song! As I man who grew up with their movies I can confirm that I was freaking out every single second that I played the first game...

it was till stage 3 where that stupid buldozer part did me in I couldnt do it and gave up on it which is sad I bought the game on release and only got like an hour of enjoyment of it and over 30 minutes of hate due to that buldzozer aprt

Cool that you tested the game. The demo had already convinced me. Although the voice actors take a bit of getting used to, I'm totally satisfied with the dubbing. The music and SFX are on point! That's how the movies sound, and they're usually as silly as the Police Academy movies. If you want to see a legendary scene from a movie by this duo, search for: Trinity is still my name - Slapping scene (HD) 👌😆

I am italian... i GREW UP with those 2 legends in Italy the movie you quoted was called "uno sceriffo poco extra ma molto terrestre", Masterpiece! Only Bud Spencer was in those movies... I suggest to watch anything starring the 2 of them... you won't regret it.

Fastinating, need to check this out, but also, I watcha different channel reviewing the first game, and the one thing he wished was voice acting, and chuckled to myself, to hear someone, reviewing the 2nd one, wished there was no voice acting :) IK remember seeing the name Slaps and Beans, I think I seen clips of the movie long ago..

I think it is so fun to see all the boss enemies being so reminiscent from the movies. You even have Joe Bugner in there for instance. As for the dubbing. Well it is what it is, and i think all of the original dubbers are probably dead. But the thing is that Bud and Terence had a really huge audience in Germany and Hungary. Countries that always dubbed them. They even added lines in the German dubbed movies. So that part is probably more welcomed for them as they can choose their language. For a longtime fan this is a 8.5 out 10. It´s fun, and the soundtracks alone from all of the movies brings a smile to my face. It could have been slightly better in the brawling, but i really like it. I gave the first game 8 out of 10. I mean just the opening when Bud drives the bus, yep that is him singing from I'm for the Hippopotamus. 95% nostalgia can´t be wrong.

I understand that you didn't grow up on those years and not in Italy (or Germany where those 2 were also popular), I can safely assume that. In both games all stages and minigames even the sound effects (that you hated so much) are based on all their movies. On a technical level I do agree that it's not a perfect game, far from it but heck for people like me, who grew up watching all their movies and still re-watching them to this day, laughed to tears to every gag as they never gets old, these 2 games have a special and dear place to my heart and Bud and Terence have a special place to the heart of all italians who had the honor to have the privilege to watch those movies with their family. Bud te ne sei andato ma non ti dimenticheremo mai!

This game is better than first one. First one - it's has no voice actor. Just text only. Second one it's has voice actor for first time. Btw, Great video man! 👍🏻

1st is better. This one is tedious and the mini games are kinda annoying something. The beat em up portion is beating through hordes of boring.

@@ArjanSnijder Sadly, this is my opinion as well. A lot of it feels drawn out, and the story interrupts too often at certain points. The VA (speaking of the italian one) isn't very good either: Terence is close to the original, but Bud is very "meh" and the rest of the cast has some decent ones, but mostly bad ones. The first one felt much, much better. I guess they tried to go bigger, but didn't have the budget or a solid plan to expand a beat'em up (which are usually a short and sweet affair) to fit the new vision they had. At least they have a ton of tracks from the movies, and most of them are incredible.

@@mdqp2 there is some quality to it. but they kinda outdid themselves in a not so good way. the 1st maybe already was more then enough. part 2 could have been good, if the controls for a starter where better then the 1st game. not so stiff. but you get the same stiff controls, boring mini games even annoying minigames, and tedious sidequest. the credit i have to give is. the pixel artwork is stunning and the music by oliver onions is as classic as they come.

The game is way too clunky and stiff. You can't really throw combos and fuck shit up. It's way too robotic and just lame and bad. Bud Spencer deserves way better.
