im considering doing the same. but i had no idear my t30s would fit since they are quite abit chunkier then the other fans. is this legitmetly possible? i mean does it fit in the middle of the cooler?

this is something I'd like to do in the future, but for now I do not have a noise controlled environment unfortunately.

Edit: Got my 5800x3D now with this cooler..Played Star Citizen ( unoptimized CPU heavy alpha state game) in my hot room..66°C was the highest the CPU got. AMD recommends watercooling, Im not convinced 😉🥶

@@Greenalex89 Yo that’s dope as hell. My Ryzen 7 5800X and this cpu cooler will be coming in this Tuesday. I am so excited. 🤘🏾 Update: My stuff been came in. Everything is going so well. I’ve been having such a blast with the Ryzen 7 5800X and yes the temps are pretty good. Stays around 60 to 70 celsius even in heavy games. This cooler is definitely doing its job. 👍🏾

It works with a 5800X3D. Hits mid 70s under load. Gaming about 65.

Did you replace the stock PA120 SE fans? Did you see any significant improvements in temps/frequencies?

@@JC-YT I never really tested with the stock fans, went straight to the Corsair elites. They feel much higher quality of a fan as well the stock thermaltake fans felt like cheap junk

@@Rancid_Ninja In fact the Thermalright fans have sometimes been found to perform better than the Corsair ones, but you keep telling yourself your story lol.

Not all cpus are made the same the ihs on your cpu is probably mounted on worse Edit and your voltage is higher

@@tryharder1053 I recently re-tested with a DeepCool AK620 and even though it was a bit quieter than the PA 120 SE, I got slightly worse scores in Cinebench R23, so my guess is either the silicon lottery wasn't on my side this time around with the CPU or I need to improve my case airflow (currently running 4 MSI fans that came with my case, the MSI MPG Gungnir 120R).

@@JC-YT I have a 5600 I got for free and Im using a 4.95ghz static oc @1.5v I have the same Thermalright dual tower Cooler but with 3 120mm fans I hit about 90C all in a shitty air flow h510 Looks like you just got a bad silicon on your cpu

@@tryharder1053 You're running your 5600 at 1.5v? That's crazy. I'm running my 5600 at 4.5Ghz 1.175V. Wouldn't 1.5V shorten the lifespan of the CPU significantly.

Your voltage is way too high, which, along perhaps with a case with poor airflow, is why your CPU is running so hot.

I have the Corsair Vengeance RGB RAM on my X570 motherboard. Yes, the RAM is higher than a low profile RAM. I moved the fan up a bit to clear the RAM. Just make sure you have the space in your case to do this. The top fan clip holes is where the fan wound up being. The fan is touching the glass said of the case.

it should fit in most cases, though ones that are very slim you should check the specs for. Most cases will list max CPU cooler height in there specs, or it is something you can find with a web search for a specific case.

7600x don't need a cooler

@@danielk3893 i undervolt it now the max temp is 70c and idle temp is 50c

for ryzen 7000 CPUs, they actually target 95C. That means they will adjust their boost frequency as high as possible to maintain 95C. This is to achieve maximum performance. Throttling happens past 95C, though these processors were designed to run hot and fast.

@@Creating_Space this is totaly false the 95 degrees C are the maximum allowed, and not the objective, was proven by « der bauer » who did delid a7950x and reach ~ 60degrees in stress test with much better performances

95 C is way too hot. DerBauer (and others), as another commentator mentioned, has done great work on the temps for Ryzen in particular. You don't want your CPU ever getting that hot.

Get a cheap ARGB hub or controller.

Just change it in your BIOS, or RGB software.

This question doesn't make sense. You install it on the CPU, with the fans at the front and in the middle of the towers, pulling air from the front of the PC case, towards the rear exhaust fan/s.

Depending on your motherboard that should work. I think in most situations it would be fine to reverse the fans and turn the cooler around, though in some scenarios the boards i/o might interfere. Considering the clearance for memory though, I think it would be fine.

your motherboard needs to have an ARGB header, and the connector from the fan fits right on it.

Hi, if you connected the RGB connector to the motherboard, you will have to download and install the RGB software for your brand of motherboard. You can find this in the support section of the website for your board. For Asus boards it us called Aura, for Gigabyte boards RGB Fusion, etc.

Yes there is a white version and a non rgb version. While noctua may make a better performing better, I think this one is very close in performance while being substantially cheaper. Thanks for your thoughts

In fact this cooler has been found to outperform several Noctua Coolers. Look at Gamers Nexus' testing which proves it.

@@ZenAndPsychedelicHealingCenter so I did some tests with my ryzen 7600x the assassin is better then a 360mm NZXT aio and allot silenter. I also tested vs a older noctua lowprofile (cant remember the modell and no box) and the assassin was allot better but the noctua is a lowprofile so. I saw that deepcools new cooler that is at the same price range is even better the the assassin, and it has a cool pattern in the shroud.
