BUDGET AMPS THAT ARE SICK | PEAVEY JSX | EPISODE 2 

I purchased this amp about 10 years ago from new and still own it now, I love this amp! It's a beast when you put an EQ through the effects loop. Perfect for metal. I could never let it go for 350

A tip for you on the clean channel....... If you dig a fender style clean, plug a pedal into the clean channel and be prepared to be pleasantly surprised. The clean was designed to take pedals extremely well and if you get a fender emulator like the boss one, it'll surprise you. Also, don't forget that the effects loop is also a boost even by itself. If you use it with no pedals in the loop, the effects loop becomes a boost pedal and you control the amount of boost with the send/return knobs.

I liked my East River Drive over that Boss because it has more juice and grit, a tad less tight but that's ok with me.

Dude! I bought one new back in the day, Since then ive owned 3. I just picked up another one for 350 because the FS wouldnt work. Love the format! Looking forward to more.

Don’t forget to switch the tube selector to the right tube. I blew mine up because I forgot to. Did not care much for the amp so it sits. Do not like the mid section of this amp at all. Dial in a sound and next time I would turn it on it would sound different. Temperamental amp. I never got a chance but it was going to be a slave amp for me to run another cab.

How are you able to set your eq like that? If i have any of them past 11:00, it's too much of that frequency. Also, it gets really sharp up loud. Maybe i need new tubes?
