If I run the leveling kit can I go back and add the track bar then the radius arm drop shackles at a letter time. The thing I notice is a loaded level is about the same as the commuter kit
I am going with the same system as you showed with the track bar on my 2019 Ram 2500 Diesel. I will stick with stock tires and rims for now as they have a lot of life left. Any other suggestions or should I be good to go? Thanks for the video. This is what got me to go with this system. Will work on wheels and tires next year.

Very good videos with lots of useful information, I just ordered this kit yesterday with the track bar for my 2016 ram 2500. For me I don’t want a lifted truck just leveled and the best ride quality, I don’t do a a lot of off roading last time was pulling our travel trailer to Alaska and going on the Dalton to the Artic circle and top of the world hwy to Dawson city,I’m going back next year and i hope the ride quality is improved.thanks again for the great videos.
I just ordered this kit with track bar, sway bar, upper and lower stablizers. if the hype is real, I plan on upgrading to pintop shocks next spring and use the commuter shocks as backups if the pins need to be rebuilt. i will post an update after install
got the 3.25 Pintop system with air ride getting orders up from my dealer/shop in AK. The fox system is taking too long, so I went for the top end. lol With those fabricated radius arms. My 2020 Ram 2500 Limited 6.7 Mega Cab is going to be SICK!!!
I really want the new Carli dominator for the 2019+ 3500. But I may have to do a level and then save up for a few years. And hopefully they come out with the long travel bags by then. $11k is a bit steep since I will be wanting new wheels (Innov8 g500’s to be exact) to go with the suspension.
Hey Cody, just an idea, maybe you could make a video on building a trucks suspension in stages. From leveling kit to dominator kit and how you would go about doing it. Might be cool.
We're doing that with Cole's truck! It started on a commuter system, we added the torsion sway bar, and then now it's getting upgraded to the dominator system. Since the level systems use different front coils, you are not able to turn them into a Dominator. However, all 3" systems share the same basic parts.
Carli suspension does not make any kits for half ton trucks. They only make kits for straight axle trucks. Ford Superduty, Dodge Ram HD, and Jeep Wrangler.

I run cdl hotshot in a 2020 ram 3500 dually with factory air and will soon be upgrading to 19.5 wheels with commercial tires. 1st will this kit work with factory air and do you think it would affect towing characteristics in a positive way? I would also add the track bar and steering stabilizer.
How about a video going over the air bag assist on F250-350 are they always on or is there a sag point to create inflation and could be wrong but I thought there was a quick release for off roading.💯👍🇺🇸
We like to use the Firestone Rite Rite air bags with Daystar cradles so that the bags aren't married to the axle for improved flex. Sadly any air bag system will detract from the ride quality, so we always recommend using them only if you absolutely need them. For most cases having an inch or two of squat when towing a couple times a year is better than giving up ride quality every day!
I’ve owned TONS of trucks, IMO if you are not going to tow, don’t buy a heavy duty truck, you will like a 1500 way better. I just traded my 17 1500 HEMI for a 19 Cummins and the Cummins is awesome for towing my HUGE trailer. BUT, for literally everything else I’d rather drive the 1500.

So I would do this today if I wouldn’t be nose high towing my 5er. That’s the only think about leveling that keeps me away. I’m 1” lower in the rear than the front, if I add this my 3500 will be 2-3” lower with squat. Can’t have that.

Hi , I have a 2019 Ram 3500 4x4 Diesel am locking for 2.5" Carli lift including 4 Fox tune shocks, front coils, track Bar, Steering Stabilizer, 1" rear lift, I have factory ire bags.
It’s VERY subtle and not something you can see. The biggest way you notice it is with tire clearance. With the factory bar on a level, typically one side will rub with 37s and the other will clear.

I know this is an older video thank you for the info I’m hoping you get this message, what do you recommend for a 2023 ram short bed non-Dooley 3500 with factory air ride, the air ride has alternate ride height and regular ride height self adjusting, the reason I’m asking is because I tow Almost 4 months out of the year probably seven days a week a tractor my total weight is about 14,500 pounds and I need stability etc. in stock form the vehicle is towing great but I’m not used to driving a vehicle that so low to the ground I had a 2500 with the Carly 3.25 lift and I loved it but the vehicle was not heavy duty enough for the weight that I’m towing do you have a recommendation that will not mess up my ability to tow? i’m not looking for a better quality ride but if I get a better ride so be it I liked my 3.25 lift I’m going to stick with a tire that is close to the stock height and a little bit wider probably 80 295 series tire any input you could give me would be great but my most important concern is towing let me know what you folks sell and I will order it. 👍👍👍👍👍
Happy to help! There's two options for your truck: The first is the dedicated Carli 3.25" pintop system which you've seen featured in a few of our RU-vid videos. That system is a dramatic improvement in ride, and retains full payload and towing specs as it's specifically designed for the air assist 3500 trucks. If you want the best of the best to improve ride without giving up function, that's the way to go! The other budget friendly option is to do a .5" or 1.75" Thuren 3500 front coil, Carli SPEC 2.0 shocks or Carli spec Pintop Kings, and possibly a track bar. That setup will improve front ride quality substantially, but since the rear is only getting a shock change, the ride improvement is minimal in the back. Thuren and Carli both use custom rate front coils, but Thuren offers different height increments and Carli sticks with a 2.5" level height. For shocks, Thuren uses a standard 985 part number shock while Carli has their own custom part number and tuning. It's actually very common for us to mix the Thuren spring and Carli leveling shocks for owners with Hemi trucks.
Just purchased a 2019 Ram 1500 2wd new body style and I plan to put on a 2.5 front leveling kit with 35x12.5 tires on 18x9 wheels! Does anyone have any knowledge as to if this would cause any rubbing? If so what can be done to combat that issue? Also, will I absolutely need to purchase to control arms? And why? (First time truck buyer & first time dealing with large wheels/tires and any type of leveling kit)
I have a 2.5 inch leveling kit, i clear 35 inch tires on a 20x9 whee with 0 offset. All i had to do was remove the splash guard on the rocker panels and pull the liners back. I have no rubbing at all👍👍
I was so frustrated with the horrible suspension on my Excursion and the didn’t want to drop $10,000 to fix it, so I sold my Excursion (for a very nice price) and purchased a new RAM to replace it. My kids are still mad at me LOL. But I LOVE the new RAM.
Ideally yes. Running stock wheels with 37s is a bit tricky, since the factory wheels are +40 offset which is about 20-28mm too far in. As a result, you hit the radius arms and sway bars with the tires when turning lock to lock. You can either cut the studs and run a bolt on spacer that makes up that gap with the stock wheels, or go with an aftermarket wheel in the right specs. Since we aren't too fond of cutting wheel studs, we'd suggest the aftermarket wheel route. To fit 37s on a Ram truck we recommend a +12 to +27 offset wheel that is no wider than 9.5.” A +12 wheel will yield a slight poke from the fender, while a +27 wheel is just about flush with the side of the truck.

CJC, I’m looking to buy a 2021 f250.. I want to do the carli set up, with the radius arm, and sway bar.... but! I don’t want the king or external resivore shocks...... I don’t want to have to rebuild shocks every 20-25k miles...... do you see a problem with this thought?

Is there no issue with the increased travel allowing tire to contact fenders? How does towing and payload get affected with tuned shocks(More so the feel, i understand the numbers themselves stay the same)? Any issues with the coil spring being mounted at a bit of an angle? Also recommendations for fixing the horrible stock drag link? I absolutely refuse to let my dealership weld any part of my truck.
Tires contacting the body is all about size and wheel spec. To fit 37s on a Ram you need a 8.5-9” wide wheel with +18 to +25 offset. As for towing, since these shocks have more damping than factory, you’ll actually have a lot better control and composure when towing with this system.

CJC: I will soon have a 2021 2500 Ram cummins with rear air suspension. I am debating between the carli 3.25 lift or 2.5 leveling commuter systems. Do you have any videos with actual measured heights from ground to fender wells comparing the systems? Can you fit 37s x 12.50s on a 20 inch wheel with just the 2.5 leveling system? My previous 2010 ram 2500 had a 6" lift on 37s - it is amazing you do not have to lift them as high anymore...that lift looked great but was borderline abnoxious on height, so trying to determine what I want on the new truck and unfortunately have no way to compare locally. Carli’s claimed height increase is the actual height increase when measured from the center of the hub to the bottom of the fender. When you add larger tires that increases the overall height as well. Interestingly you’ve actually never needed more than a 2.5” lift to fit 37s on a 2010+ Ram! To fit 37s on a Ram you need a 8.5-9” wide wheel with +18 to +25 offset. That spec is the key!
Hello my tech question is what is the oil in the fox shocks rated to? meaning cold temps, I'm using my 2021 Ram 2500 diesel 5000 miles north to the arctic ocean in a rally in the winter with temps around bellow -40 degrees, want to make sure the temp is not an issue for the fox shocks, also looking for sponsors if interested, thanks

To fit 37s on a Ram truck we recommend a +18 to +27 offset wheel that is no wider than 9,” as well as some mild trimming of the plastic fender liner and maybe pinch weld depending on the tire. We recommend that same spec for 35s, and no trimming is needed!
I'm getting ready to buy that system but was wondering if I should get the track bar before the drop down brackets ? I'll end up getting most of that add ons . And what 18x9 wheel offset should I get ?
The track bar is something you should add, but there’s no need for the radius arm drops. To fit 37s on a Ram you need a 8.5-9” wide wheel with +18 to +25 offset. We’d recommend the same specs for a 35” tire too. 👍

A little late here, but this is the system I'm interested in BUT, I have a 2022 Laramie 2500 6.4 Hemi. It seems that everything Carli and you all talk about is either Cummins or Power Wagon. It's almost like the regular 2500 Hemi is ignored intentionally... This kind of points me toward the Thuren approach. What's the deal with the singular focus upon the Diesel primarily and Power Wagon secondarily but a regular hemi, not at all. What about a regular 2500 with a 6.4 Hemi? AND this system with a track bar and maybe swaybar. Am I good to go? Edit: I put a Fab Fours Matrix pre-runner bumper with a 12K winch on the front and it does make a slight difference in the front, very slight but noticable adding likely around 200 lbs to the front of my 2500 vs the OEM bumper. Of course this leads me to asking myself if the Diesel is 900ish more lbs than the Hemi, does Ram change the front suspension on the Cummins 2500 vs the Hemi? If so, or not, is the Carli level oriented around the extra weight of the Cummins and should that impact the decision to do this leveling approach on a standard 2500 with a Hemi? And I have at least one other youtuber who noticed the singular focus upon the diesel in a standard 2500 with a Hemi... AND, I'm not seeing anyone who has addressed this question or has a video with this system and a hemi. So, I don't want to spend the money install only to find I'm unhappy with the Carli level you discuss in this video.
