Now taking the approximate cost the US has to pay other nations for their defense each year according to Politico being between $85 Billion up to $200 Billion per year as of 2014, making the mid-range of both extremes being roughly $145 Billion per year per country with US service members (sitting around 70 different countries as of 2014). So keeping 2019 as the baseline to 2024, in one country alone being $145 Billion per year, it would come out to $725 Billion over the 5 years. Now taking the $725 Billion and multiplying across all 70 countries, keeping in mind that not every base/installation costs the US that much or that little meaning the number could be higher or lower than reality, brings the approximate cost over 5 years to $50.75 Trillion Dollars we spend to act a body guards to our Military Allies. Would be much better if it was how most people pay for personal security and this is what we received for our services of protection…but that is a Geo-Political matter to be worked out between country leaders, while not wanting another country to see the opportunity to gain (Communist China, Russia, Iran, and other nations that are not friendly) So taking just the $50.57 Trillion and adding the $164.5 Billion in Foreign Assistance over the 5 years of 2019 through 2024, the US would have spent approximately $50,914,500,000,000 ($50 Trillion, 914 Billion, and 500 Million) over the years. Our National Debt as of June 20 2024 is sitting at $34,837,877,000,000 ($34 Trillion, 837 Billion, 877 Million) and growing. Imagine if we had received the payment to act as global body guards, and we did not give out Foreign Assistance just over 2019-2024? We’d have made $50.57 Trillion (approx.) from other countries to put toward our Armed Forced and Nations People, and we would have saved $164.5 Billion (approx.) that could have been spent on American Citizens over the 5 years. Our National Debt would be $00,000,000,000,000 (that is ZERO Dollars) just with the payment for 5 years for our troops to be all around the world alone, and the country could have spent the 5-year surplus of $164.5 Billion on helping with Student Debt (Lower Tuition Costs), or Homelessness, or Updating our Infrastructure (Roads, Electrical Grid, Water and Sewage System, and so on), or Social Security, or anything else that would actually help the American Citizen over the 5-years.

Reducing the deficit with a debt based currency it’s impossible. We’d have a monetary collapse. If the debt doesn’t expand with a strong dollar, the dollar will crush other currencies. There is no one side solution, only a dichotomy to manage.

For years anytime I heard a politician or an economist say they would lower the deficit or debt I think the same thing, either the person is a liar or worse they aren’t and have no idea how a debt based fiat currency works, or more like doesn’t work.
