Hari OM that is impressive - even just getting the base vehicle here costs that much and more; everyone 'staycationing' because of COVID. As it is at least 18 months before I am likely to have the wherewithal to make this move (if I do), am hoping that all the Brits who are missing their Mediterranean Mayhem holidays will be selling up the vans they impulse bought this past year and prices come down!!! Glad to hear Mandurah mentioned. My folks were there for a few years - dad was in charge of the Kwinana-Bunbury electrification back in the 1990s and I had fab visits there. When dad retired, he and mum dragged a caravan all the way north and round back down to me in Sydney before they repatriated to Scotland. YAM xx
Plus or minus 10% in a budget is good. You went over around 2%.... awesome 👍 Bunnings is expensive for wood.... I sourced most of mine elsewhere and not only did I find a bigger range (like hardwood faced ply), it cost 1/3 less.
Yep I'm sure I could have saved some more money if I had the time. I was just really lucky that my step dad was doing some Reno's on his property so it was empty for me to finish the build but time was limited. Either way I'm happy with it ☺ and didn't blow the budget to badly
Leanne what a great job you have done in your van you have a great setup. This was a really good video and thanks for bringing us into your world. We are caravanners and maybe will might see you on the road sometime. Travelling is such a great lifestyle and you do meet so many great people. This last year we spent time up north mainly exploring some of the remote station stays and the gold fields which has some great history. Thanks again and look forward to more of your videos.
$1700 at Bunnings? Yeah it's a lot. But. I pay $1115 per WEEK in rent in Sydney. Not including anything else. And you own everything you spend that money on. My money is down the rental drain. Gives you a healthy perspective, doesn't it? 😂 Love your work
Hi Michelle I go the mattress from Clark Rubber. It's a memory foam one for a caravan which is smaller than a regular sized double bed mattress. They also cut the mattress to size 😁
