If you are going to refresh that motor at least put some ebay rods in it (cheap and proven). The pistons are good up to 300whp.

For RJ i have maxspeeding rods in my miata and its super reliable at 220hp (make like 50-60k KM on them) so i suggest some ebay rods as a good investment. Stock pistons on the other hand are perfectly fine for up to 300ish :)

If you go back to the stock intake manifold on your s13 you will have more torque

My Miata with 1.6 at 7 pounds of boost is 293 to the wheels soon going to push to 10 pounds I’m hoping to go over 300 to the wheels good luck RJ buddy 🤞😎

You wait till you get your VVTi 1J going then Jimmy,mine makes 410NM of torque and 14psi of boost from 2600rpm (all stock,just exhaust,fmic more boost and a Tune)
