We lived in a mobile home for 19 years. Paid it off after 4 years and banked all the house payments and paid cash for a home we had built for us.

Love it! I just purchased mine for $500 🤗 I plan to post videos about remodeling it. I am saving up for land. In Iowa it’s not that much for land. I totally understand the feeling that you’re sick of paying others mortgages 😅

I remember when my daughter only wanted lol dolls, I am glad that is over, house looks great and seems like a good price, I am also working to become debt free, God be with us on our journey!

thank you for the tour! You have a lovely home. I bought my first single wide when I retired. I wish I had done it 20 years ago. I have had 8 grandkids stay overnight and they loved the garden tub. I have a 3 bedroom. When my kids were young I lived in a brand new stick built home but I love my manufactured home even more because everything is on one level, I have a deck, the washer/dryer location is easy to get to, don't have far to carry things, I also have a nice carport and awning over my deck...these things did not come with my stick built home. Resale value is usually less than what we buy these for but I've sold other houses for less also.

We are getting ready to move into a camper for 6 months to a year to save and be able to buy a house. I’ve been looking at double wides and honestly they are just too big for us. It’s nice to see a single wide being “lived in” to get an idea of the real size. Thank you!

Nice home we live on a 8 acres property in a double wide mobile home for the last year and our debt and mortgage free when we purchased our place and we love the freedom and peace of mind and we love seeing and hearing about others journey- we will have to do our own house tour - keep it up

I subscribed. You two are real smart. Our first place 45 yrs ago was a single wide mobile home. You young people are smart. I loved the mobile home. Ours was 14 x 74 and 3 bed rooms one bath. It was easy to clean. Looking forward to sharing your journey. Its lovely and a nice place. They are built much better now. they have to with stand 120 hr winds just like a sight built home. It is why they cost so much now.

Lots of room,better than tiny house, huge rooms, can stand up,2 baths ,relaxing beautiful.

I’m so happy that this video popped up in my feed! I absolutely love your home; especially your beautiful kitchen....and the garden tub! I have an older double wide that I bought 10 years ago for $10k. It was in great shape, well maintained but aging. For instance, I had to have the plumbing all replaced because the old pipes were splitting, etc. I’ve had many many updates done, like I had a heat pump installed, had it fully insulated, things like that. I love my home so much!! And the best part is that it’s completely paid for, so I am essentially debt free for the first time in my life. Of course, I’m A LOT older than you guys!! Lol! When I had my single wide, we drilled holes in the wall and installed grommets to hide our TV cords. We drilled one hole behind the TV’s, and another directly above or below the electrical outlet, and fished all the cords through. Cleaned up the TV mounts nicely.

Your daughters are so cute! I love your home, we rent and I honestly wish we could downsize and get something until we can afford where we live, it’s just so expensive!! We can’t really downsize to a mobile home due to where we’re living.

This is what I would love to live in tired of paying rent which goes up every year and the apt we live in isn't worth what they charge mold is just 1 of the things wrong beside living around disrespectful neighbors living on the 3rd floor. What was all the set up? just need an estimate on what I would pay for water/electric/septic delivery and hook up. I know you said the price at the beginning but that included the price of the trailer itself as well.

Your home is beautiful! I have an interest in purchasing a manufactured home. In case, it would be used, possibly from a manufactured home park. Are there questions that I should ask the property manager when it comes to the safety of the home during the event of bad weather? I am country southerner, but my verbiage would be something like, "is the home strapped/anchored down to sustain powerful winds in the event of a tornado?" Would that suffice? I am trying to live cheap and on a budget. As far as utilities, I currently pay around $200 a month for total electric, my cable/internet/alarm security bill bundle runs about $200 as well. Would this be the ball park figure if I were to purchase a energy efficient singlewide manufactured home? I know that I have to pay taxes on the manufactured home's title yearly, similar to a vehicle. Is that expensive?

Now you no longer pay rent to another person, but you have to pay everything else yourself. You must now pay for any repairs, any additional costs, any maintenance costs, etc. yourself. I think it's mostly too short simply see the savings on the loss of rent. A two year old girl needs an own tv in her room? that's strange for me.
