Yeah, Rise of the Eldrazi was the second and last block to contain tribal cards. There were only 4, and the only really competitive one is All is Dust, but Eldrazi Conscription is also one of them.

Yeah, that's a good point. If we only have one creature (like Storm Herald) we can get blown out with the reanimation trigger on the stack, but with multiple creatures its a lot harder for it to go wrong.

OP isn’t suggesting a winning line vs Fatal push, they’re showing a line that would have killed the opponent that turn via lethal damage instead of Seth’s logic of making them chump with the Goyf but dealing non-lethal damage. Regardless of the realities of the outcome, it’s a learning experience.

Which land should you name ? If you name a tron piece, you will be beaten down by eldrazi temples

Der Redstone_Pro depends what they’re first land is/whether you’re in the play & don’t have another one drop. I’d guess it’s a tron piece most of the time. Moon is a good trade off at 1 mana to discount 4 potential mana of your opponents but not at a 1 for 2 mana tradeoff vs a single Etemple.

Eldrazi Tron is weird. If it was Blood Moon I'd bring it in, but Alpine Moon shutting down one land doesn't seem all that great. They just don't care all that much about setting up Tron (I think most games it doesn't even happen).

I'm not sure the deck can work in Pioneer. I think it's probably possible to make some sort of Hollow One deck, but losing Goblin Lore/Burning Inquiry is rough, and Storm Herald probably isn't worth it since Eldrazi Conscription isn't in the format (and reanimating something like Prodigious Growth isn't nearly as game winning).

Yes, 100%. Blood Moon was the card I wanted most in the sideboard but couldn't afford thanks to the budget restriction.

@Jay Kilian This is a good spot to show a card that looks like it could be good on the surface but in reality/gameplay, it makes your deck worse when brought in. First, there is need to be reactive against that deck since Seth is the aggressor role in the matchup. Also, since Seth’s deck is also a strategy that fills the Gy quickly, Goyf is almost always going to be large no matter what. Tcrypt for traverse and making grim flayer smaller is a net loss/downside. Spending one of your cards to not trade with any single card from the opponent. They still have to the grim flayer who can fill up the GY if they get a hit in and Traverse still finds a land so it’s not dead and Seths deck is so fast that an opponent spending mana to traverse for a creature is a huge tempo advantage (see g1 when they searched for Goyf but couldn’t cast it that turn and proceed to die the turn after). Lastly, what would you substitute? Drawing Crypt in your opening hand means you have one less proactive card. That’s not even counting the times you expect OP to play a Goyf then just die to a large Death’s Shadow. Overall, you’re better off saving Crypt for decks that it really punches in the gut, like dredge, where it can buy a turn or two for Seth to set up a winning scenario.

It's can help temporarily, but I think our best plan is to just maximize our threats and try to kill our opponent quickly. Drawing Tormod's Crypt when we need to force through a couple more points of damage is rough.

Check the deck link in the description (full article. It's at the bottom). Mostly, the change is in the sideboard, plus consistency lands. I would've put shocks, specifically Blood Crypt, and only 2, as you'd only need them to hard cast Street Wraith and Leyline of the Void. Not the point of those cards, but a good back up just in case. I'd also go 3 inquiry and 2 Axe mainboard, with 2 Returns in side, personally. I think, given axe's power and reach, it compensates for one less random draw/discard. Honestly, though, I'd have to fully test it before making that call, for either.
