I changed my rear shock myself for the first time recently. Take the back wheel off, it will take the extra weight off the frame so when you remove the shock the frame won't fall.
i thought about changing my fusion shock on my pitch but decided to leave it for now, being an amature rider i didnt see it as a good invest for now, for a better ride i have changed my rear QR to a 10mm through axel, you can do the conversion if your rear hub allows you, i have a superstar ultra rear hub, bike feels solid
Oh no, that might have to go on the upgrade list... Quick release can feel wobbly at times. I think it's probably a good idea to do the upgrades that are right for you! I've recently been riding rougher more natural trails and the rear shock was letting me down. For flow trails it was perfect!
I gotta admit I was a little intimidated by all of the adjustment at the start, but once I found the base tune sheet and reset it to factory it made me feel more confident, like even if I completely mess up the handling of the shock I can always reset it to base. Likely when I find a setting I like I'll just leave it at that... Until I get bored...
@@crog4389 thats a good point.. maybe i'm just not educated enough.. I'm sure if I actually get a new and more advanced shock, I'll figure it out eventually.
