Bump compliance was very similar. Advantage over RC3 was adjustability(could tune compression to make the gnar drops and stuff feel more controlled), and didn’t heat up so much on long descents.
I weigh 180. I don’t have my settings written down. I pretty much got it set with shock wiz recommendations, then made slight adjustment when I bottomed out. I’ll see if I get some time in the next few days to count the clicks.
DB Air Il tokens come in two big tokens with small strips in each(maybe 6). I run one big token. 220psi(shock wiz says 210). Sag is about 30%. HSR - 2&3/4 turns from close, 1&1/2 turns from open LSR - 14 clicks from closed, 9 from open LSC - 19 click from closed, 3 from open HSC - 3&3/4 from closed, 1/2 from open On the shock closed is '+', and open is '-'. I haven't ever counted my settings before. Its interesting to see that the rebound has a decent amount of dampening(no bucking but recovers from compression's quickly). I rely on the air spring and the suspension design to limit my compression, bottom outs, and give me mid stroke support. I can definitely notice when I leave the climb switch on going down hill(cranks the LSC)so I'm not concerned that I need more dampening. Ill post a comment next spring if I start tinkering with the shock wiz again.
