Really enjoy your cutting vids. I can tell you’ve got plenty of experience cutting opals - it’s nice to see another experienced & confident opal cutter on RU-vid!! I’d love to see some of the background processes you have - the parts of how you make a business of it… Keep ‘em coming!
Those comments about the legend JT are so true 👍 We're spoilt watching him cut expensive stones and most of us can't afford that level of opal. He also cuts many 1ct stones that are amazing, and can use his knowledge to his advantage. Maybe one day 😂
There's definitely creativity required in small stones but they can produce beauty ❤ Pointers and 1ct stones are great for rings and dainty pendants, and look much bigger when surrounded by metal.
Love your style of video as I am working up to exactly what you are doing.More info on good supplies of rough is very much appreciated as it's such a battle to not get burnt . love these little stones here! cheers from NZ.
I work with a lot of stones in this size. Usually I'm making ring or earring stones but when the color is too small I'll cut calibrated stones for accents in the 3 to 5 mm range. They're a lot of work with little to no payback but they're frustrating, irritating, and just plain fun to make overall.😂
@@OpalOdyssey-ew9gr I've made some tools that help me shortcut those little ones and keep them calibrated. I set up and make a run of several different sizes then stock them up for when I get a setting that can use them. Have quite a few ready now.
