Might be a good option as opposed to the EGW mounts that replace the rear sight but just about always require a ton of fitting

I always run appendix and red dot. But this rail is gonna be a bit bulkier than usual. But a great easy entry price to try a dot.

I have a dot on everything except my G-44. It is not a factor in comfort at all

I use rubber bands and zip ties. After the super glue dries it works perfectly…. For a sight I just sawed a pair of compact binoculars in half and used a red marker to put a dot on the lense…. Cause Hi Point don’t make no optic ready pistol!

I actually don't trust a mount that is mounted to the slide in a way the slide was not designed for. I own a CZ TS2, that is has by design no optics ready slide. The available option is an adapter that fits in the mount for the rear sight for ~20€, my concerns are that the small groove for the rear sight isn't capable to handle the higher weight of a reddot for multiple rounds. On the other hand there is a company close to me that offers milling the slide for reddot mounts, for 70€, the downside: I have no rearsights anymore, at least not the ones I'm used to (manufacturing the coverplate adds 50€, and I would need new rear sights) And as I live in Austria, I would have to add 30€ to the new govermental proofmark (Beschuss), cause I changed a major part of the gun.
