There’s a chance that the oil pump could stop working. If that happens I would toast my engine. It’s just reassuring to run premix and know the engine is receiving the proper ratio of oil/gas. It’s a very common thing to do👍🏼
@@albertcampos959 probably less than 10min of riding. Would likely overheat and seize. The oil pumps are honestly pretty reliable! If you want to keep it, just confirm that it’s pumping. Remove the small line going to the intake manifold. Rev the engine and a very small amount should start dripping out. If you decide to run premix, you can also just pull off the big oil line going to the pump and stick a bolt in it to block the line. Then plug off the small line going to the intake to prevent an air leak. I’ve ridden many scooter like this for years with no problem. Eventually you’ll want to get a block off plug and remove the oil pump. Overtime, leaving the pump in there without oil running through it, there’s a chance the small gear at the bottom could break in your engine (rare). Also by getting the block off plug you increase crankcase pressure! You can buy the plugs at scooterswapshop and on eBay. I show how to install in this video. Hope this helps you out🤟🏼
woudlnt that absolutely destroy the mpg tho? i had a 89 zuma i did a 70cc big bore and 21mm carb and pre mix i would get like not even 20mpg and be filling up every ride
