The speed master intake sits lower. It hits the valley cover bolts and causes it not to seal. You either change the valley cover to an after market with flush mount bolts or grind the stock bolts but they’re really good intakes for a budget build. Better than the ls6
Looks like you got yourself a sleeper I'd keep it like that for awhile but definitely save for a good shifter and I'm not sure what transmission you have but I do remember you said T400 and I'm assuming a 10 bolt welded or maybe you can score a ford 8.8 with a true track or Lincoln locker diff with a proper street tuned.
Excellent car choice now you tune it for 1/4 mile with 24 inch rims 24x12 in the rear with 4.11 gear then you will feel the power that's a mean set up and I had the same car 1978 buick skylark love the car bro👍
So, is this a bone stock (other than a camshaft) LS engine? Was the rings gapped for the boost? By the way, I’m not judging or being condescending, I’m cheering you on brother 🙏💪👏👏👏👏
Yeah man (check out some of the early episodes in the playlist build series) stock 4.8 eBay cam and valve springs apparently this motor had 380k miles or so haha
Would love to see you build a low dollar "supra" 4th gen rs camaro roller LL8 engine Amazon 60lb injectors Amazon turbo Ar5 pontiac solstice manual trans(bolts right up) 00s ford explorer rear end(poor mans 9") And wallah you got yourself a 750 hp ripper for less than a LS build Did I mention they make 750 unopened I can find complete vortec 4200s for 250-350 bucks on marketplace in my home town. ❤ I believe your skills could make it cooler than a supra but all American ❤❤
