I'm super frugal but spent over $7000 this month bc I paid cash for a car $4600 ( saved $1000 by negotiating).. still ouch. But no car payments yay! overspent in food/eating out/groceries this month. I have to get back on track next month, this year actually isn't off to a good start but I did reduce expenses and make more money.
great advice..i opened two savings accounts. holiday club. and credit union. plus i gotten into a habit of saving in my home..three jars quarters..dollar bills..and other coins in the other jar. than see how much i can accumulate when full.
Loving the knowledge, servant-leadership and personality; you're communication skills, financial wisdom and enthusiasm conveys an extremely effective message. Thank you for your insight and for helping me in areas that will help many others I come in contact with. Godbless.

First of all, thank you for the tips! Very helpful. But secondly, and more importantly, I think you are WONDERFUL at making RU-vid videos. Your personality really comes thru and you seem very genuine and authentic. You were meant to be in front of a camera!!!
I actually started writing down my income and expenses down on paper each month so I know exactly when each bill or payment is due and also when i do estimate for future income (because it's hourly based) I always tend to go with worst case scenario just to be on the safe side of things
I love the helpful info you give out. Im in my early 20's and I'm starting to budget it hasn't been easy to adjust but I know it will be worth it at the end. I look forward on watching more of your videos!
I second the YNAB recommendation! I was never able to budget successfully until I started using that program. And it eliminates the need for cash envelopes (which are bad for people like me who misplace things).
This comment just made me so happy, Kristina! Yes, girl! Get your LIFE! New year means you can set the tone right for the rest of the year! Thank you of the support! XO
I got a late start. I just started putting money in a ROTH IRA a few years ago when I was 35. However, I am a teacher and I have had a pension since I was 25. But I figured I would like to have more financial freedom when I'm older. Anyway, great video!!!
MissBeHelpful: can you talk about how to find a credit card with a low APR, and if you recommend switching credit cards if it gets too high. I am so tired of paying high APR's and just wonder if transferring my balance to a new one would be a good idea.
1. save up a 1K emergency fund 2. transfer to a zero interest card 3. STOP using new card 4. pay balance in full & on time (no late fees) during the promotion period 5. stop using credit cards all together... good luck! You got this!!! 😊😊😊
Love it!!! Ur very clear and simple on your explanation make It fun and easy going. Found u today and enjoying ur videos very much. Ur soo young how did u learned all this info ? Thanks for sharing all ur knowledge
Thanks, Diana! I learned right after college from reading different finance books. I started off reading Suze Orman: For the Young, Fabulous and Broke" Then I read her book called "Women and Money." Both are good books, but there is some information that was not the best so I did more research of my own!
I love the app mvelopes. It digitally mimics the commonly used cash envelope system. I personally hate carrying a ton of cash because I worry that I will lose it. This app links to your bank account to monitor your balance (it doesn't take anything out or deposit anything). You create different "envelopes" for your different expenses. I have one for groceries that I can scan my receipts into. It deducts what I've spent from my allocated funds so I know how much I have left.
Great info! I enjoy your videos. I budget my money in a responsible way. I always try to use no more than 25 % to 50% of the limits on my credit cards unless I having a reasoning to go over 50% of my limit. Just over a year ago I did many balance transfers to a card I have a 5.99% fixed for life balance transfer on & transferred as I could to get most of my cards paid off & then from me doing that I have got 15 preapproved credit limit increases on my cards & been able to open 8 new accounts in the last year.
I am a college student who just got his first credit card. I don't want to overspend, so I'm only using my CC for my everyday expenses(about 50% utilization). I want to build a good credit score and use it to buy a car (new or used) asap. Am I doing the right thing?
1:48- OR, why not do both at the same time by watching the movie, "Frida" while also being able to see her art exhibited while watching the movie at the same time lol? Good tips.
MOST PEOPLE IN THEIR 20'S DONT GIVE A SHIT, IM JUST BEING HONEST, I HAVE ALWAYS FOUND IT HARD TO TALK TO YOUNG MEN, BECAUSE MOST I KNOW ONLY CARE ABOUT SEX, NOT WITH WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.
The trick is to not save too much. I know people that have saved so much money through the years to be able to do stuff when they retire, but the the thing is because of inflation, their money is not worth their original value any more. They could have bought so many things, houses, etc but because they saved all of that for later, now they can only afford 1/3 of what they could have bought. Anyway... just a thought
I recommend you start with less and build up to saving half as you bring in more money in life. I worked 4 jobs in college and STILL was not saving anything back then, but I wish I had put away $20-$50 an month. If only I knew how important it was back then! Thanks for watching and commenting!
do you have a P.O.box address ? I want to mail you a Cash Money order. Please Stay on youtube. your a motivator. We are Simple people who are Humble. Thank you..
Shopping isn't entertainment? I disagree. I can take $20 can go to a thrift store and have all kinds of fun! Lol ok, seriously I need to find some different entertainment, but wait, what would I do videos on then? Lol
