Remember ladies you can simply start saving with some paper envelopes and once you can afford it get the binders and planner. Take your time and y'all got this!!!!
Feeling like I have extra money on my bi-weekly paycheck. She said..."No ma'am. That money is for bills." THIS RIGHT HERE is what gets me in trouble every time....thinking I have "extra money" when I barely scrape by on paycheck number two. Thanks for the breakdown of how you use the calendar page and the highlighters. As a visual learner this is really helpful.
YAS!! ! I hope this gets even more women on the train and in control of their finances!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You inspired me 2 years ago - and it's changed our life! This is a great way to explain how to do this!!
I love getting paid once a month! I get paid the last day of each month. I pay ALL my bills that day! Whatever is left is what I budget with…. I do plan that money for the number of weeks in the month and set up my cash envelopes for each week. This helps me spread out my dispensable cash to last the entire month. It’s worked well for me for several years!!
I’m newly separated and now a single mom. This is going to be so helpful getting me in control of my finances. Thank you for all you do to educate people like me! ❤
Glad you're making longer videos again. I was also inspired by your videos and have been cash budgeting for about 1 1/2 years now. Much success to you!
I get paid monthly. Bill money I transfer to a separate bank account immediately so I don't "see" it, and then I only cash stuff the variable expenses and sinking funds.
I’m glad you mentioned monthly payment bc that’s where I am. I’m on a fixed income monthly and by the 15 shit sometimes the 9 I’m at $0. This month is a little better I just hit 0 today 😂😂😂 and I get paid next week but this past year and change has been RUFFF. Hopefully splitting it in 2 and writing it out will help
I love you so much! I found you on Tik Tok and you have been a Godsend!! I am a wife and momma of 3 and am taking back control of my finances! ❤ we are downsizing excess "toys" and working to pay off debt using your guidance! ❤ working on building an emergency fund with our regular checks. I started a side hustle thats going really well and am using that to start on my 1 month ahead fund using your tracker! THANK YOU for all that you do for us!
Sorry Austrian/Europe Person here and i have to say that budgeting monthly don´t automatically mean failure. Most Europeans get paid monthly and if they have a budget, it is always on a monthly base. They don´t mess that up and honestly i don´t know any person that get paid monthly and budget bi-weekly. What i do say, is that most of the people check there variable budget categories on a weekly base and make sure they are on track, but all of them have strict monthly budgets (myself included ;-) )
I personally do NOT recommend auto drafting for any monthly bills. In case of an emergency, you might need those finds especially if you're still living check to check. Hopefully no more living check to check as you start to build up your savings 😊
I like to pay the bills each one at a time as I'm forced to look at what is on the statement. The exception is that I have one or two that close before payday, so it's best to pay the minimum due auto-deducted. I can make an additional payment once everything else is paid. Keep stuffing!
Yes sis you did your thing with this video. I just started on my journey and I've binged your videos from the start of your channel and they've been so informative but this one breaks it down down. Keep it coming sis bc your ambition is motivation
Yep; this is me. I have the Beginner Binders, Month Ahead, Debt Payoff, I purchased the Course, 2 extra binder and yes I also have this binder and I yet have started. Help! I'm feeling overwhelmed. On the positive side I have been able to save big time, cleared up 2 credit card debts, and mentally my goal is to save and payoff, which I am succeeding little by little. You are amazing and a great motivator.
Thank you for sharing this cause I am still struggling to keep up with my month because I’m paid Bi-weekly and I be struggling to stay on track! This video is very helpful because now I will start doing weekly to start being ahead for just in case I forgot about a bill
I absolutely love your channel. You have helped me and hubby so much! I get paid monthly on the last day of the month. I have a planner like yours. I moved all my direct debits (I think you call them auto drafts? ) to the first and 2nd of the month. So all my bills are gone by the third anything left is for food, diesel and gas/electric. I found it so much easier this way. Once my husband changes his jobs next week we will be doing the same with his. You are truly an inspiration in the budgeting world! Keep doing what you are doing ❤️❤️
Wait now ..this binder is giving me life …I may have to get it 😂 Your example about the once a month pay is me! I get all my retirement and disability on the first so it’s hard to budget the entire month! Please send me a notification for the binder Jasmine! 😂
Why not go over the whole thing? I will sit here for 1 hour to listen to you go over it 😂 I can’t wait to get that handy planner. 🥳 Great gift for the holidays.
Love to see so much green for paydays #blessed #goals Thank you for breaking this down. I’m new to budgeting but haven’t started using a planner or calendar to break expenses and income down. Great video❤
CONGRATULATIONS👏 You this this..... YES❗I've been patiently waiting for your break down.... Explain very clearly & very to the point. Can't wait for part two. Continuous blessings & success💕
Awesome. I do the same but I do gig work on the side and at the end of the week add it up as a paycheck. This is great. Thanks for this. You are amazing.
This is so extremely helpful and this is something they should teach in school ... and credit 💳 I have never had credit card and my student loans were deferred and positive then they were forgiven and now I have nothing no number man it's like bad credit 😢😢 getting out of a financially abusive relationship. And I learned a lesson
That's the way that she recommends. I get paid monthly and after tracking how much I need in bills I transfer that amount to a different bank account immediately and then withdraw for variable expenses. I pull it all out and budget the whole thing at once, but I do a mini-check in every week to plan and make sure that everything was accounted for when I do my wallet every Sunday.
So glad I have found your channel... You have definitely inspired me to take a closer look at my finances... Just a side note, Hulu has a bundle package that includes Disney plus... I had honestly been paying for it a while, not realizing I was paying for Disney plus the entire time😢😢😢... When I took a closer look at why I was paying so much, that's when I saw it... It's only $21.65 w taxes a month... I noticed you were paying for each separately and just thought I'd mention it... Please continue what you are doing... You are inspiring people to do better with their finances!!!!
I truly love and appreciate the checklist in the monthly overview! I keep learning every time I watch your videos. Thank you so much for all your hard work!!!
So I don’t understand when you unload the envelopes and when you pay the bills (are you a month ahead? . Just curious can you say about how much you make with social media and how often not looking for exact just curious like is it $? a week or $?? A week $??? Or maybe $???? Or $?,??? I just wonder how much each of these are worth posting on. Thanks for reading, hopefully you will comment! Thanks in advance.
So proud of you babygirl ! You are a true testimony of rags to riches ! God bless EVERYTHING you lay your hands to do! Just got my 52 Friday binder and am loving it ! I’ve decided to stop buying so much budgeting tools and to get busy ! I’ve been following you since last July and am in the same space with more debt so I have to start over but I’m motivated AF!
When I go to write out the bills, I always run out of lines since I have 23 credit cards. Should I not write them out individually and just group them as credit card payments because in total I would need 43 lines to write out all of my bills? 🤦🏽♀️😭
Wait. Sorry to eavesdrop drop but do you coach on budget things 1 on 1?… I’m very interested I’m in debt and behind on bills. Trying to catch up each month is a lot for me and I have two jobs now plus I translate as a side hustle 😢😢 HELP ME PLEASE.
Just starting out, I looked our Nov bank statement as we were on vacation for half of December I categorized the expenses as groceries, shopping , gas and bills but what would vapes be categorized as? I also see car maintenance should I categorized that? Also would a vehicle payment go under bills? Or do I need another category call debt payment?. Thank you! You are so inspirational ❤
I like this video, it explains in detail about the monthly planner. PLEASE DO A VIDEO (if you have please let me know) on a bill account (i think that's what you called it). How does one find the extra cash to start the envelope savings in the previous month and then take the cash and deposit for the current month? Thanks for you videos.
Omg I'm sitting. hear stressed out about my bills because I feel like I'm losing control. Im afraid of failing. I've just scored a well paid second job, please help.
It's kind of ironic you mention that because I am a teacher and I do get paid on the 15th of every month. I know you kind of explain, but could you do a mock example for those of us who get paid monthly ? It gets confusing trying to figure out the Pay frequency chart.
Im glad i saw this video of yours! My husband is payed weekly, but every week is different as his shift change from day to day.Do you suggest taking an average of 12 weeks to figure that out,or less weeks. In the first week we also have our highest bills,as mortgage and health insurance. Its more than what he makes in a week,so now i know what to do after watching this video
For the monthly checksers like myself i try to plan my bills that i have every month the week after i get my check. For example i get paid the 30th of every month so my bills last pay date is always within that first week of a month.
I started doing this a year ago after I found you on Instagram and it has helped me soooo much!! Thanks for all you do!! I can't wait until this planner is available for purchase ❤❤
Im a teacger and get paid monthly. You explained monthly pay PERFECTLY! SO now I need to five myself half and deposit the reat for the 15th.. Queen 👸 i appreciate u!
If you have "collections" or have been accused of hoarding, try this way. This is fun snd you will be better for it. I shocked my daughter and son-in-law by declaring that I was hoarding cash! Ha! I showed how this went, paid off a loan from my daughter, and gave her a little photo binder with one $20 bill to begin her savings in cash. We are lucky to be honest and respectful people so no need for super security. Be mindful of protecting cash! Thank you, Jasmine, for bringing these techniques for us. Best wishes!
I’m at work watching the video so I apologize if this questioned was answered…..but where you keeping the cash from the envelops I’m a safe in your house or you taking the money out and putting it back in the bank?
I'm so bad at this but really trying. I try to budget like this but it's impossible for me because my other half doesn't tell me anything about his side of bill paying and puts some bills on credit cards and doesn't have a set day of paying bills and it bothers me so much. I can't figure out a system that won't have me worrying. I'm going to breakdown at this point
Its frustrating to have a partner who is not on the same page financially as you are. It seems like half of your income and spending is unknown to you. Can you possibly be successful with cash envelope stuffing? Sorry but that will be next to impossible.
Thank you for showing how you budget while getting paid weekly! Most videos that I have seen don’t show you that. I do exactly this already but I loved the way you explained it!
@@Baddiesandbudgets when are we going to see the next video to this. Will become a digital download as I live in Australia. I already have your neutral planner. Love it.
