I'm 30 years old, listened to as much music as I possibly could for every day my entire life. I can safely say this is the greatest song I never heard before today.
@@midyebulans Then you guys need to listen to a lot more. Budgie is good, but not even close to the peak of heavy rock. Check out Flowers in the Attic by the same band.
I am a 70 rocker saw a lot of concerts listened to a lot of rock bands and going on 65 still go to concerts and listen to 70Rock. But dam I have never heard of this band. I'm listening to some of their music now and I like it! It just blows me away I never heard any of there music.
@@danfrancis5113 I bet it does my friend, I have the same feeling about being English, collectively us brits have had some incredible bands over the years. Hell music is one of the only things english people can be proud of these days LOL
This was my introduction to the band. I was 11 years old. A friend played this album one day while we were chilling at his house. Blew me Away! I instantly became a Budgie fan. RIP Burke Shelley.
Same here, never heard of them before, until finding them on random youtube "list of greatest rock songs", tried their other songs, and they're awesome!
September 29 2023... on this night I discover Budgie's music and my heart is not stone anymore... reminds me of the night I discovered King's X band 10 years ago in 2013... another power trio too... life-changing moments 🤘🤘🤘
I was born yesterday Trouble seemed so far away Now it seems my friends no longer call Everything was better then I can still remember when I saw the future with a certain glow So I turned to stone As I learned to know When I turned to stone Tell myself I'm feeling all alone Many days have passed me by Celebrate with sunny skies Still I know I need a helping hand And the friends I thought I knew See them change my every view Now it seems I'm seeing them as they really are No I turned to stone As I learned to know When I turned to stone Tell myself I'm feeling all alone I was born yesterday Trouble seemed so far away...
Been a fan for 40 years! All the big name bands aerosmith, van Halen, rest in peace eddie! Queen, u2 etc! Etc! Etc! If you had bought a album, CD for any of those bands! Only 1 or 2 songs I guarantee you you would listen to , off any of those albums? Which happens to be the songs you would hear day after day, hour after hour on your fm station! And year after year now? This band budgie body of work ! Which was played very little on the air waves fm radio! Only on some stations like in my town in eastern Washington ! Which played everyone but the band's I stated above! This is where we got to hear budgie and others? I suggest if you just hearing this band on u tube that you will be not disappointed with getting any of their CD, or albums if you still have a turntable! You will find that ever song is inventive and just plainly rocks! Every friend that I've played their music too will always say! How come I've never heard of these guys? And.become a instant fan? They are the best period.
Ten utwór nagrany na szpulowcu ZK - 120 . Rok 1981 pomimo że sprzęt już wtedy przestarzały to brzmienie było zaskakująco dobre i ta magia taśmy szpulowej Stilon.Mialem wtedy 14 lat...
I'm 73 years old and was fortunate to be a roadie with Chasar. (Alec Pollock, Jim and Pete Marshal) and we were support band to Budgie at the Beach Ballroom in Ayr.....Great gig and great memories.
This was the best rock album of that year - I worked in an independent record shop, and got to hear enough different stuff to make that decision - and, almost 10 years later, in a pub in Cardiff, I sat next to Burke Shelley and got to tell him that - good moment
I live in San Antonio and discovered Budgie while listening to KZEP. I’m so glad they were popular here, or I probably never would have heard of them. They are hands down my all time favorite classic rock band, and this is one of their best songs.
I probably wouldn’t have heard of them, but one of my friends in high school put me into them - their dad was the tour manager or something crazy like that for their Australian tour. 🤷♂️
Wow, this song is absolutely incredible. When the singer says when I turned to stone, it sits in my mind and a pause in peace. It memorizes you. Any song that does that is a great song. Very well written. Bad ass group. Drums sit in the mix great. The whole band in sinc.
Many modern metal bands cite Budgie as an influence. They may not have had the commercial success of some, but artistically they are admired by so many.
Dave led me to melt the ice away but my love for actual music made me stay I'm only 28 and can't stand the music today people need to stop trying to follow what people think is cool and actually listen to stuff because they like it
Oczywiście kolumny miałem do grania zabaw i wesel, a miałem 14-17 lat.
Today in Seattle at the record store I saw quite a few Budgie albums, so I started looking on you tube. How have I not heard about them? Are they some kind of gate keeper , and they only reveal themselves once you attain certain spiritual level? WTF?
DUDE I BELIEVE YOU. I'm 38 almost 39. I mean I knew of them because of Metallica and Breadfan but never bothered to give a shit till tonight and WTF Did they EVER just reveal themselves to me... I think I attained that level. I am deemed worthy by the music God's. I wish I had grew up with there music. But it just wasn't meant to be.
@@kristopherguilbault5428 Don't beat yourself up mate they're from Wales(below England) and I'm from England,I saw their album covers but never heard one of their songs til about10 years ago on here lol!
Yeah I love every kind of metal disturbed all that newer stuff (probly the only good music out today) but nothing beats the old classics like diamond head Metallica sabbath 70s and 80s
Our band covered this song in school festival in 1997. I was the guitarist and i improvised the guitar solo so much that when the audience call for an encore i forgot how the first solo goes..😂😂😂
First thing I learned on guitar was this song's intro. My dad showed me how to play it. Because of that, here I am, 10 years later - obsessed with the instrument. thanks pa
@@jamiewesson898 Sounds great. When are you guys going to save us from trump? We need help over here. We fought you for freedom, and we won, and now we need you back for a different reason.
