Someone has very clearly invested a lot of time and love into training these birds. I’m so impressed! You’re giving these budgies a good, satisfying life. I applaud you! Well done!
You obviously spend much time and care very much for your birds. They all look healthy and happy. I have many birds-some of them budgies- and believe me if they didn't want to do the tricks-they wouldn't!
At first I thought this was going to be animal abuse, but I don’t see any sign of them being stressed, and they seem pretty happy and healthy. It’s cool how you trained them to be so calm it’s hard just training one lol
The only things I don’t like is the tunnel one because he was poking them to move on (but they didn’t seem stressed or bothered so I think it’s fine) and that their wings are clipped
None of these budgies look stressed or anything bad, they seem to enjoy it and are completely used to it by how relaxed they are, they aren't in shock or anything
The idiots who go :" BAWW DIS IS SO CRUEL POOR BIRDIES" are either very young and naive, or a very undereducated overemotional adult (how very sad). This is great stimulation for the budgies. Real cruelty is when people hit their birds, pluck out their feathers for fun, crush them for fun, throw them against walls, etcetera.
@@BirdLady2782 True. It's better than getting the bird bored since it hurts both their mental and physical health if they just do nothing at all. Budgies are active and social birds. And I'm just sitting here in peace while my bird is screaming "I'M KILLIN A YELLOW MONSTER TO EAT IT " and trying to peel a banana🤣
And make sure to talk to him a lot. Budgies are such interactive creatures, it means a lot when people even just talk or whistle to them. As for the new food, that can be tricky. Some birds are REALLY stubborn. But usually, you want to mix it in with the old food. Start with mostly seed and a bit of the pellets, then next food change, add a bit less seed and a bit more pellets. Keep this trend until you have just pellets. It's usually easier for them to transition that way.
Clearly non of the people crying abuse have owned budgies, ive iwned 4 in the past 10 years and all of them have been crazy, from hanging off lamp shades upside down to crawling inside coat pockets and sleeves to climbing up the curtain to get to the curtain rail. pretty sure they would have loved most of this if they were all still with us today!
Sounds like you are quite busy! I really admire that you do that for them. Birds are such amazing little creatures that always seem to get overlooked but deserve so much love. I'm not sure what your living situation is with them, but it's a unique kind of thing to have birds zipping around you in your house, especially the ones that like to follow you around everywhere, lol. I consistently have 3 budgies flying around and they have free-reign of the apartment.
This is a truly amazing video. It's clearly evident from it that you have a tremendous love for you birds and you deserve credit for it. It's just an awful shame that all those people who posted negative and horrible comments, cannot see beyond that fact! Perhaps it's them that has a problem and not you!! Those budgies are loved, looked after and are quite happy because in the wild they live in a large flock, not by themselves like most budgies are kept.
like someone else said, it is obvious you have a love for these little guys. And everyone saying that the birds are depressed, i own four budgies and trust me, these are happy sounds. Keep doing what you are doing! if they didnt poop so much i would have just as many budgies as you :)
these budgies are in a huge flock and seem to really be enjoying themselves (i dont see any signs of them not liking it) this person put a lot of time into training the birds which is good for their mental health. with their wings clipped they can still float to the ground, i would probably slow down the carousel though.

If they were “abused” they wouldn’t be chirping and playing with each other they would be plucking out their feathers and shaking in fear and they would sick these budgies are having the greatest time of their life budgies love to be entertained and it’s good to let them be active and teach them tricks they love it
Sunita Gaur god you people are quite dumb it’s not disabling them first of all when you get them they come with their wings clipped and second it’s common to be clipped so if you took them out or something they would fly out and get lost
I absolutely love this video. for anyone who has never owned a bird these budgies are happy doing what they are doing. they have so many friends so much excitement so many things to do they love their life so do not ever say this is creepy because it is not and I am sure they all sleep well at night. congratulations

Two fell off during the video, but I think they're still having fun, they would much rather be doing this than sitting in a cage all day. Fun comes with a slight risk.
How are you doing this with so many budgies?!?!......I envy you :). My birds would of flown away immediately. Your budgies are living the life. Wish mine were like them.
After handling my Mista this morning, it occured to me to point out to the idiots who are nasty that budgies who are unhappy, and not confident will bite, fly away and in general show their displeasure. (and all kept birds for that matter) They will tear things up and become destructive and very loud, squawking and unpleasant to have near. Healthy, happy birds are active, engaged and are happy to play. Keep doing what you do! It's awesome to see! :-)
All of you saying that this video of cruel don't understand birds. If the birds weren't liking it they would fly away even if the wings are clipped they can still fly with clipped wings as one did in the video just not very far. If they truly didn't like what he did they would walk away or shy away from his hand. These are trained parakeets who obviously like their owner very much.
Hey Alex, It really is sad! I'm honestly not sure if people are just ignorant about wing clipping, or if they are confusing it with the other thing I mentioned. Either way, yeah, I've never had any problems with clipped wings on my birdies, other than their annoyance that they can't fly as high as they want (but then they just puff up at me indignantly until their full length feathers come in, lol). that's right if it is their own decision to play games. It's not the case in this video. ALL of their wings are clipped, they can't get off the carousel even if they wanted to. It is not a game to them, believe me. And to all who think that the birds would complain in some way if they didn't like it, you don't know how many times the owner did that to them. It is possible that they gave up complaining a long time ago.
Oh no, I agree. I would never force them to do tricks. Our dog is 10 now and we don't throw the ball for him anymore. He used to dive into the creek, now he treads in carefully. He's a Retriever-Lab so he still loves water. Lol.
in my opinion and expirience, i can see that the birds are enjoying it and like the reactions to it. Budgies are very independent birds in personality and they're very smart. like sydney said, if they didn't enjoy it and didn't want to do it, then they wouldn't have done it. It takes a very willing budgie to learn how to do that and she was very lucky to have alot of willing budgies who love their owner enough to do it.
What is wrong with you people. The parakeets are not being tortured. They love it. They are also having fun. It is like parakeets at carnivals. If they were scared they would've flown away and not even get close to the owner or the toys/parakeet carnivals.
they can't fly away.. their wings have been cut. If they try to get off the rides they will fall and hurt themselves.. that's why they just sit there. They are not enjoying themselves.. they are just forced to run about and prodded with that stick. Sad.
That's not really true. Larger parrots do that. Its rare to budgies to pluck.. even in the most stressful and dirty conditions.. but that does not mean they are stressed. If I was doing this stuff with puppies that I cut the legs off so they could not run off.. would you say they were happy because they had nice fur?
Jason Kinnear clipping is not like cutting a dogs legs off there wings come back and its for safty of the bird I'm sorry that some people don't want there 2000 dollar parrot flying away and dying or landing on a hot stove
I've replied to some comments about not having the wings clipped and that this was torture. But if you think about it, the birds were not absolutely forced onto the perch. It's just training! The same way we do with babies. When they learn to walk, they fall and get hurt. But that isn't abuse, it's just what it takes to become better. Also, clipping the wings just slows down the birds because budgies are very fast and it may be a little bit troublesome for owners to chase them around the house while taming them or training them. In no way is the bird immobile! I've had 3 parakeets/budgies and their wings have all been clipped. And even then they were a hoot to get a hold of.
to those who say it torture. Budgie wil fly away if they don't like what they're doing. Birds are not like dog you can't control them with fear. Even their bird wing are clip ,they will flap their wing then Jump down

Clipped wings or not, they dont seem to not like it. They look cool with it. Its every cute. I wish my 2 could be like that, only one lets me pet him and he sits on my hand and shoulder. And I clip my birds wings too. Too many times have they hurt themselves flying into walls and mirrors, and windows from seeing another bird outside.
i have 11 birdies in various stages of tame so i wouldn't handle them lke this, but it's wonderful to see such love and devotion to them. as tp vile comment there is place in dante's inferno for. may you reap what you sow
I also get mine to eat grapes and apples as well. Hand feeding them these things is another good way to get them to trust you. As long as the birdie feels included in your activities, it should be easier for you guys to bond. I hope this was somewhat helpful. Adorable budgies!! Can't believe all the horrible comments. They obviously don't know anything about birds if they think clipping wings and training is cruel. They aren't helpless without flight feathers... they can still glide. It wasn't like you took their whole wings off lol Just rescued a couple budgies today (after taking a break for about 15 years) and I'm hoping to tame them to do all sorts of things with lots of hard work and patience.
I have deleted my post because I had realised that what I have said was rude. I stand by what I said and I personally don't believe that it is cruel at all and I work with animals but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
I really don't know. I totally agree with you on that part. I could never even think of subjecting my budgies to this kind of thing (not to mention they would be mad at me for weeks! and possibly not trust me again). I honestly see nothing cute about it myself. If they did have their flights all there, then at least they could have options. Btw, I think it is really cool that you rescue birds. I love birds so much and it's nice to know that others out there do as well. :)

Very cute! I own birds and I could only hope to get them calm enough to stay on a moving object for more than a second. To those crying abuse: You've obviously never owned a bird if you think that a bird with clipped wings is completely defenseless. Even with clipped wings a bird can still glide a short distance not unlike that of "flying squirrels". I'd be much more concerned with these budgies getting dizzy than with them falling straight down and breaking something.
i can tell the budgies here like their owners, and some of the 'rides' they might have actually enjoyed, but i dont know how the budgies felt about the spinning thing (the 3rd 'ride'). i know my budgies wouldnt like it.
So training is abusive now? Training is important. Now you don't know why this guy is doing it, you don't know if the birds are being mistreated they look completely healthy. Sometimes training can bring joy to both human and animal. my dog can open doors, and do all kinds of tricks.
Clipped wings birds are not respected birds.... Budgies are not Humans toys. ... Ps: I breed lots of budgies, They love to learn shows and they love that in RESPECT and in FREEDOM OF FLYING.... Budgies are MADE to fly.... Clipped wings is dangerous for birds and make them sad and unhealthy !!!!
OK and you're point I think clipping is humane and respected it keeps them safe and safe from flying away because if they do they WILL DIE and I don't want him to fly on the stove cause we cook a lot and flying in a cabinet
Agreed. There are multiple things in this video that concern me. :( Something is clearly wrong in this picture. Even the most human friendly budgies wouldn't submit to these types of things.

Further more, I have owned a total of 4 parakeets. All four of them came to me clipped. Two of them I clipped after their feathers grew back for a time to ensure their safety. These feathers also fell out and grew back when it was time. ALL these birds have and are flying just fine since their feathers have grown back. Clipped or not, feathers fall out or are pulled out by the bird itself when it is time to molt. A new one takes it place.
