We preview the Jaguars at Bills Monday Night Football game, including the return of Gabe Davis and Mitch Morse. Plus, what does it mean for Tyler Bass that the Bills worked out kickers?
Ok, I have to chime in here...the Olean/Allegany area is BEAUTIFUL. It's a super chill, smaller community. I compare it to East Aurora to people who've never been here. We've lived in Allegany since 2017 (moved from Grand Island). At first impression, yes. You say to yourself this place needs more restaurants and shopping, but if you like a peaceful, gorgeous, not crowded place to live it truly is amazing....as long as you don't move right next door to frat houses which we unfortunately did unknowingly for the first year...the rest of the stuff is 100% true. 😂
I remember the first MNF game in Buffalo. Everyone was so excited to hear what Howard Cosell, Frank Gifford, and Alex Karras had to say about Buffalo and the Buffalo Bills on TV that ticket sales were so slow that the game was locally blacked out per the rules back then. The game had to be sold out three days ahead of time for it to be shown locally. After it was announced that it was blacked out, it then sold out. My friends and I decided to drive beyond the range of the black out. So, we hopped in a car and drove on the 90 east to Geneva, NY to get a motel room to watch the game on TV. When we got of the Thruway and pulled into the first motel we came to, the parking lot was full and people were getting back in their cars because the motel was swamped with Bills fans from wny who had the same idea as us. So, se drove downtown and stopped in the first bar we came to - "Pinky's Bar" to see if the game was on. There was one old guy sitting at the bar. MNF was so new back then that the bartender had no idea about the Bills game being on. He looked at us and called us "CRAZY." But then turned on ABC for us. Just as the game came on, the bar became flooded with Bills fans just like us. The bartender couldn't believe it, but soon was into it as much as we were. The Bills were playing the Oakland Raiders and, at one point, the camera was on the Raiders Otis Sistrunk who was the only player in the NFL who shaved his head at the time. Not only was it highly unusual in the early 70s to see a completely bald head but the sweat on his head was steaming in the cold night air. Back then the announcers would always connect each player with their college. Otis did not go to college. Karras was looking on his sheet of players and couldn't find any college listed next to his name and was in the middle of saying "Otis Sistrunk from the university of....[then looking up at the camera shot].....paused and said "from the university of Mars."
I remember that too. Listening to the radio in my bedroom. Ahmad Rashad was huge in that game I believe. Was heartbroken when he tested free agency and left, towards the beginning of free agency.
While we only have a small sample size, I feel that the Bill’s offense is all about schematics and Josh has the ability to execute it at a very high level. You can see him looking off defenders and he has his eyes all over the field. When the play breaks down he can bolt in an instant and this makes them very difficult to stop. I think we are going to see Josh’s best year yet without him being the one who has to do everything. If the defense is susceptible to the run, the offense is going to pound the ball down their throats and vice versa.
I predict that the bills win 38-23, Buffalos dynamic offense finds ways to score nearly every possession, and the defense stifles the Jags who come on late with two late game scores when it’s already to late. Mark me
@@DeepThinker-gc8nzSure it might. Still a logical response to the biggest surprise question because the overwhelming belief was that the receiver targets would be spread out but the passing game would run through Kincaid. Not the case after two weeks.
Gabe let diggs influence his attitude last year imo...everybody just overlooked dunn's article last year... when everyone attacked mcdemott with the 911 reference but ignored the part of chad Hall getting let go for Gabe and diggs buying hall a truck!
I don't get what point your trying to make on the Chad Hall thing in terms of Gabe letting Diggs supposedly influence his attitude. Are we trying to say Davis and Diggs showing appreciation for their WR coach is a bad thing?? How does that reflect negatively in anyway on Davis/Diggs?? What they do with their money is their own business, not McDermotts We're all certainly entitled to our opinions, but I find it funny that the blame is uniformly placed on the leaving players and little to no accountabilityis placed on the staff still with the organization. Reminiscent to the 13 second debacle which was another situation that deflected blame imo.
@Invader135 mcdermott felt like it wasn't fitting the culture of the team... when they let hall go and brought in Henry, what was the first thing he said? I'm a coaches coach, not a player coach! It's the culture mcdermott wants! 🤷 I agree with mcdermott, not diggs n davis...
I don’t like to hear how Von Miller did “nothing” last year. The fact that he was even on the field says alot about his devotion to this team. Maybe he shouldn’t have been, but…. Then he goes and takes a pay cut to help out with the cap. I appreciate Von and if he can come even close to replicating what he has done in the past, it’s going to be huge for our defense.
Dealing with 5'6 290lb beer drinkers on a couch talking about Von Miller stealing money from the Bills is just the way the world is. Stop thinking so deeply and embrace stupidity it's easier that way.
@Sammygggwww why are you such a hater. You are about half the comments on this video. The guys are doing a great job and their commentary and banter every video is entertaining and informative. If you've been watching for a while like I have, you should know that they are getting better and better. Keep up the good work Matt and Sal! Awesome producing work too Mike!
I heard he actually went to high-school with Sal. Sal used to pick on him, give him swirleys, nuggies and stuff him in trash cans. Poor guy this is his life's revenge.
@@dustinlines2181 that is funny actually. Just want to help Sal and the channel with my experience and expertise in the brand/marketing arena. His brand is important to him, that’s all.
Wow!!! I understood Josh Allen elevating players on offense but he’s also getting the credit for the guys on defense 😂😂 I’m really disappointed in you guys. Not one mention of McDermott. Sal you know better. I’ve been following you before you moved back to Buffalo and you of all people should have gave McDermott his flowers. The obsession with Josh Allen is mind boggling
If you're a follower of Sal like you say, you regularly hear on his Extra Point radio show that he's a staunch defender of McDermott and sings his praise with regularity. For years he has credited McDermott for being ahead of the curve in terms of his defensive philosophies and player development. I mean if we're gonna nitpick, why are we concerned with giving McDermott flowers and not Bobby Babich the actual defensive coordinator?? As someone that's not a huge McD fan myself, I can tell you Sal gives a fair share of McD praise (and then some) and imo too much especially when you consider the dropoff in the postseason. And I agree, the obsession with a Top 5 player in the whole league who happens to play for your team is mind boggling!
Idk if you ever played ball but team leaders do have an impact on both sides of the ball. You see the way they practice, you see the way they play and never take a play off and it sets a tone. Allen likely does deserve some credit as a team leader but that doesn’t mean anyone thinks he’s the only one responsible, quit being dramatic
Would you try harder as a defensive player down 14 in the 3rd quarter if Josh Allen was getting a chance to score when you get a stop or if Daniel Jones was getting it?
sal & matt huge fan of yall ....................quick question not taking from this year yet season has just started and i get that hockey is different then football but........... is josh allen the ryan miller of football ? ..................... Ryan miller was the super star player for his team .............. but only made it to the eastern conference championship once and they were chasing since 2005-2006 season ..... meaning they couldn't build the right team around ryan miller (very similar)
@@DeepThinker-gc8nz helping people and organizations with their image is a passion of mine. It’s also a vital part of building a brand which I Sal is trying to do.
I don’t understand the bass hate. Hes never been the only reason we lose. Sure he might miss a couple the whole season but if it comes down to him the offense and defense had a bad day.
He's has the worst rating of a kicker in football right now. You can't depend on him in the bills know it. If they were on the opponents 45 yd line and it was fourth down they would have to go for it because they could not trust Bass. Imagine what would happen in a super bowl wide right again
