@tohsakamine
@tohsakamine Месяц назад
@123shoshan 40-yard dash time doesn't translate to game speed. It's obvious you're a casual fan. Plus, he ran a 4.53 at his pro day. Speed doesn't mean anything when you can't run routes, don't get off the press, and have a drop problem. You know who struggles with all of that? DeSean Jackson, the fastest receiver in the league. There's a reason he was projected as a fourth-round pick before the combine. Also look at other nfl recievers 40 time that are slow and slower than that

Find and watch the video of all his targets and you will see why people are concerned. He doesn't get open often. One saving grace was that his QBs sucked. Hopefully, since he's young, he can learn to run better routes. You may be able to just "throw it out" but the analysts I trust have felt they could? Allen will help. PS: He didn't come down with ever 50/50 ball? You know what's 50/50? Him being GREAT. Fingers crossed. Go Bills!!!
@jwestphal1978
@jwestphal1978 Месяц назад
I agree with you that he has talent and is young and can only improve! I'm interested in seeing the XXL package where there's only one true reciever on the field along with the TE's, an eligible line man, and, Davis in the back field close to end zone and also on short yardage situations! We also added a center that on worse teams would be a day one starter! I think the power package just with the receiving abilities of Coleman and Kincaid, along with Knox and Davis in short yardage situations could really get teams, when they decide to pass over running with that particular package on the field! I think all of the other guys will run the deep stuff occasionally, along with the underneath stuff. I do believe Brady is going to even at times use Coleman underneath as well maybe allowing Cook a few more of those wheel routes we know he can run. I think they'll use more motion this season. Diggs seemed to move around presnap a lot once Brady took over. I see Brady doing the same thing with Samuel. Maybe motion him from one side of the scrimmage to the opposite and run outs and corners instead of Coleman, allowing Coleman to play power slot. I see a ton of possibilities with the pieces. It be nice to find a legit deep threat like a John Brown again to complete the package. I don't expect that level of player being released, so possibly a trade, who knows? I trust our front office. They take shots at players, this yr we all get that they didn't feel they could. It might not have been the sexiest draft, but I actually like what we got based on team need.

Love the guy, but there's major concerns when it comes to getting separation. He finished in the 35th percentile for separation in college, and other prospects that fell into that category did not often do well in the NFL. I recently watched a video from Matt Harmon that broke this down, and out of 32 WRs that finished in the 35th percentile or lower in college, only 5 were "hits" in the NFL. Those players were: 1. Amon-Ra St. Brown 2. Cooper Kupp 3. Tyler Boyd 4. Juju Smith-Schuster 5. Rashee Rice Even among those, most people would argue only the top 3 were true hits. The other 27 players were duds, or only had brief moments. And logically this makes sense. If you struggle to get separation from college DBs, it's unlikely you'd have more success against stronger, faster, more talented DBs in the NFL.

Keon Coleman can only succeed in the Slot, and the Bills are playing him in the X role. Allen leads the league in picks every year and they drafted a guy who cant create separation. Allen will be throwing more picks than before. Coleman has 3 big red flags. Cant create separation, He is slow, and has never had a season above 2 YPTPA (Yards Per Team Pass Attempt) in the last 30 years only Stevie Johnson (Bills) with a YPTPA that low was able to find any success. @frankevans1977 Explain if I'm wrong? Previous players with his skill set only succeed in the Slot. A comparison could be made of Michael Thomas when he was with the Saints. Coleman had the most success in college when catching passes over the middle. His Stat of less than 2 yards Per Team Pass Attempt is very bad. Only 1 reciever in the last 30 years had success in the NFL with that low of a stat, Stevie Johnson.

@frankevans1977 Josh Allen makes his best Reads when his recievers flash open. If Coleman can't flash open it may cause him to be overlooked in the offense as Josh will proceed to his next progression. Same thing happened to NKeal Harry when he played X on the Patriots.

@frankevans1977 Even Keon is worried about his red flags. He name dropped during the NFL combined interviews that his cousin is CeeDee Lamb of the Cowboys.
