The Camp Lockett Cavalry Museum in Campo serves as a time capsule preserving the history of the famed Buffalo Soldiers. Director-curator Leslie Keown shares how the African American soldiers got their name and how the museum is educating the public about the legendary servicemen on horseback.

This is a hidden gem. I've been there personally and Leslie is such a kind and knowledgeable tour guide. It's a free museum and your able to explore some really cool history alongside Highway 94.
