I did some digging and it seems that characters that have the 1.5x headshot multiplier aren't affected by the new tank role passive. So characters like sojourn, illari and roadhog do full hs dmg against unarmored tanks and in the case of armored tanks, illari and souj only get their hs reduced by 5 dmg.
I have been playing against hog almost every game. if you ignore him he picks off your entire team and killing him is like swimming up a waterfall . The HS dmg reduction is working wonders for hog as during breather he is unkillable. Not saying he is OP but his Survivability is abit too much and you gotta sink so much resources into him and he lives 90% of the time. He gets away unpunished from the most sketchy situations now.
No, he is most certainly broken. I've been saying it for a while. Either his hook cooldown needs to go back to 8 seconds or hisb breather needs to be weaker. He runs rampant whenever he wants and is unpunishable between his hooks because of the immense value of breather.
@@JC-bs2ew Just look at how much playtime he has in top500. It's not just me saying this. He is way overturned and the last patch was a further buff for him. Even when all his counters are played against him he has a decent chance of survival.
@@KLUSTERIZERall of his counters? So you telling me the other team is switching to let’s say just 4/5 of the possible roles with Ana, Zen, Sombra, and Reaper he’s living? And let’s say add Orisa or Mauga to make it a perfect 5/5 counter, you still say Hog lives? Lmao OK. I agree reduce dmg reduction on vape or increase the CD time but Hog has been in a horrible spot for almost all of OW2(most tanks have been in OW2) but top 500 usage is your litmus test for the character? News flash those are the best of the best players, doesn’t matter who they are playing, top 500 is like .001% of the base
In a vacuum I'd probably agree, but given the fact Zen is also super vulnerable to getting dived as Ball it kinda balances out... _usually_ Like if you get on a Zen alone as Ball, you've got a better shot than just about any Tank in the game of being able to kill them and get out. As a result generally Zen makes your life harder, but if you can perform despite the extra pressure, you get more kills and make more space in the long run against Zen since he's so vulnerable to being dove... That being said, that's all assuming the fact you can't kill Zen is a skill issue - and not a "even if I play perfectly, this Zen is perma-pocketed, and surrounded by guards at all times with their CC on standby specifically to screw me over" issue... When that happens and it's happening to a truly ridiculous extent, then yea, Discord starts to become a nightmare.

because this game was designed as 6v6 and OW2 shoved them into a 5v5 situation. Alot of these heroes need a rework to be viable so OW2 is slowly doing that but they should’ve js kept 6v6
@@Wildkoala1 absolutely, it’s exhausting joining OQ and I pick tank and the team fills with 2 dps 2 heals, like if you’re gonna play like that just play RQ. When I go in on hog vs zarya monkey hog and my team says “tank diff”. Like yeah, tank diff as in they have 3 and we have 1 lol
I wish for a world where all characters in any video game are balanced and viable. I hate when I see so much BS in my games like “why are you playing that character, they suck.” If that is ever said, the devs are doing their job poorly. And so far? No game has done that.
The stubborn habits of a high level ball player. Just stuck in his own ways and has no awareness. Absolutely refuses to make the slightest switch after witnessing the lack of progress on payload & getting dominated by Hog for 5 straight minutes. Granted he might be a one trick but he hasn't employed any new tech to get the objective moving. They've been stuck on that middle fucking bridge for the whole game and he keeps pushing in like "Ok I got it this time. This time will be different"
You think Beaver is only good with ball…. You aren’t top 500 or champ or GM being only a 1 trick these players are good with a pool of characters however they WANT to play that character just like Cyx does with Hog even if he’s getting rolled
Ball has more counterplay against an equal skill sombra as opposed to an equal skill hog. You can bait and punish a sombra by yourself as ball, whereas there's significantly less a ball can do to a hog without their team. In higher elo play, it's rare that a sombra/bastion/cass swap alone will have much effect against a ball and you need more than 1 counter swap to shut them down correctly whereas a singular hog or zen can deny ball significantly more value just by existing
I too, actually like when an enemy dps goes sombra to “counter” me on ball. She’s really easy to dominate, you just need to change your mindset. Instead of thinking about how her hack disables your kit, use your kit to destroy her survivability. Keep track of where she is, if she tries hacking you, shoot her to cancel the hack, and if she translocates away to live, shoot her once and chase her. She genuinely can’t do anything against ball once you start hunting her instead of letting her hunt you
