I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.

Munger and Buffett have both achieved an incredible feat with Berkshire. They've turned thousands to billions, and have made a lot of people wealthy in the process. I really saw the potential of the stock market by reading Berkshire's annual letters. I recently sold my $674k apartment in the Bel Air area and I'm hoping to throw it into the stock market. Investing in Roth IRA can be a good choice since they are funded with after tax dollars, your contributions can grow tax-free over time. When you withdraw money from your Roth IRA in retirement, you won’t have to pay tax on it, which will help you keep more of your hard-earned money. Compounding is the process of earning interest on your initial investment, as well as on the interest that investment earns. This means that over time, your investment can grow exponentially. So the earlier you start investing, the more time your investment has to grow through compounding. Following these principles i retired with about $825k in my Roth IRA.

Mostly based on your comfort level with risk. Better off sizing in when things go your way when trading an account with mini futures or high leverage. In this manner, your initial stop loss is still a respectable one. However, if you trade micros or with minimal leverage, you might as well start at "full size." Although it increases the win percentage, micros still have a stop loss that is not very near to the entrance. IMHO. For your own convenience, I would advise you to seek professional advice.

My idea is to consistently buy an S&P 500 index fund but there's one modification Buffett isn't seeing. Let's take March 2009. If you invest X amount in March 1979 and leave it until March 2009, that investment with dividends re-invested will grow at greater than 10%. However, you don't know if you are selling the dividend re-investments for October 2007 or March of 2009 because of the way dividends re-invest. So I keep investments separated and don't add any new principle to an investment so it truly does grow long term.

how many "American" businesses have gone out of business in the last 20+ years? textile factories that use to be the largest of their type on the planet are now gone - bulldozed....Cannon Mills Company, Dan River Mills, Westpoint Stevens, Cone Mills, Burlington Industries, etc. restaurants and retailers are closing left and right. some can't compete, some are closing because they can't find employees. shopping malls that once thrived are now closing, being razed and replaced with Amazon warehouses. it would be nice if you owned an insurance company like GEICO to supply you with a steady flow of cash to buy more has been companies and mooch off their formerly good name, but not everyone lives in the fantasy land that Buffet lives in.

His advice to investors has been to only buy stock in three companies you believe in. I think he means to just buy AAPL. He doesn't buy index funds, but he does by AAPL. AAPL and MSFT both have a 30% average annual yield to date. I've dumped index funds for these two companies because they are the best out there.

She taught me how to analyze the market and make informed decisions. She also helped me avoid some common pitfalls and scams that could have cost me a lot of money. She is not only an investment advisor, but also a mentor and a friend. I trust her completely and I am grateful for her guidance.
