One of the best Buffy episodes, and one of the funniest scenes. Everyone has their voice stolen by demons, and Giles does what he can to explain the situation :) No copyright infringement intended.
hey, maybe she sicked one of the gentlemen 2 do her revenge schemes before...like what if one girl wished her ex's heart was torn out by a goul or something and he couldn't scream...totally her
I like to picture Giles spending his whole morning carefully mapping out his presentation and then going to the store and buying the transparencies and markers, spending a couple hours drawing it all out (maybe having to redo a few because he didn’t quite like how one came out) and then going through his record collection to find the perfect music to accompany his presentation.
one of the best episodes and showed the incredible talent of this cast doing a whole episode silently and this scene filled with insanely funny physical comedy with innuendos
That was the 90's when wide THICC hips were not the trend we see nowadays. Back then only black women were "allowed" to have wide hips. Nowadays women get implants to widen their hips and asses as well.
I love how after Xander asks how to kill the Gentlemen Buffy mimes staking them ( 1:48 ) but instead she unintentionally mimes giving them a hand-job 😂😄.
I like how the music he plays, "Danse Macabre", was the theme music used for the British Tv mystery crime drama series he passed on doing so he could do Buffy instead.
@@sarahwatson1260 Agreed! Those three are among the best. Hush had little dialogue, The Body was very quiet, no background music and Once more with feeling is a musical. I like how they all had something to do with sound.
This is one of the best scenes ive ever seen in TV. When Buffy did that gesture I cracked myself for days and was telling the story to all of my friends although not all of them watch the show but still was pretty funny to me tho. This was the peak of good TV.
I love how after all the years they all watched Buffy stab vampires with a stake, their first thought when she made that hand motion was the suggestion that the demons be jerked off. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I thought that was magneto teaching the class at first. I like how he already has answers on different sheets, like he's ready to answer any question they would come up with.
You can pretty much tell Season 4 is where the writers really hit their stride in this show. And Hush is a testament to why Buffy is pretty much one of the, if not the, best vampire television shows out there.
Hush: An episode where no one can talk. Once More With Feeling: An episode where no one can shut up. They're two sides of the same coin. It's no wonder they're both right next to each other on most "best episode" lists.
It would have been a good time to or rather there wouldn't have been a more convenient time for them to communicate in sign language if they only knew it. In a situation like this, ASL would have helped them convey their ideas adequately without spending any time writing their responses on pads, little white boards or in notebooks. I loved this episode and I think it was probably one of the most, if not the freakiest one.
Never knew this episode existed until Honest Trailers made a comment-joke about this scene just a few days ago 😅. I just had to research and look for this clip 🤣
This was always my favorite episode and my favorite scene. It’s just so freaking funny and I always die laugh at this one particular scene especially at Buffy’s hand motion.
@@Courageous91 It's always fun to see various writers taking on challenges like that, intentionally limiting themselves as a response to criticisms or bets. Dr. Seuss wrote Green Eggs and Ham as a writing challenge issued by a colleague, betting he couldn't write a successful book sticking to just the 50 most common words in English, for example.
Probably the more scary of the BtVS episodes but can't help but laugh at the innuendo for what they want and how to kill them. Even Guiles was looking at Buffy questioningly...
We all know by now that many Fairy tales out there have messed up origins but this particular fairy tale about the voice pilfering, heart nabbing demon creatures known as the Gentlemen & their Straightjacket footmen imp is by very, very far the most frightening, macabre, messed up, fairy tale that every Buffy the vampire slayer fan has ever seen.
I understood that Willow meant hearts and Buffy meant killing them with stakes when I first saw it when I was 14 then I rewatched and didn’t get it till I saw Xander’s confused face
Where is this sourced from? I have a dvd version which has the sides cropped. And an HD version which the top/bottom and strangely a bit from the sides as well cropped, at the stabbing innuendo part. Quite horrible. Why can't they just scan the whole film for HD? Whatever the aspect ratio...
