The Empath is a lovely 🥰 episode!I must agree! But,I think,it’s about loyalty to one’s crew. Not,you know, the “other thing.”Even today, most people find men loving men obscene and even, obnoxious.I know, because,I had talked to someone about this at work. This is when we had a different administration in Washington,D.C.I don’t the 1960”s audience was going to see:men fall in love?😻 No,that’s not what this show was all about!😮😊❤
The fact that I let this show continuously queer bate me and I ENJOYED EVERY SECOND shows how good of a relationship the writers were able to create. This will always be one of the best scenes 😂
Am I going crazy or was the original version of this scene entirely different, like, the version I remember watching on Netflix, it was an Italian guy and the scene was shot entirely differently???
Me in 70 years: why did they do that, why did they film this, who wrote this, why did he say that, why did HE say THAT, what’s all fine, did he plan this, what does it all mean, WHO DID THIS. Them: “ok grandma lets get you to bed”
Never knew this episode existed until Honest Trailers made a comment-joke about this scene just a few days ago 😅. I just had to research and look for this clip 🤣
I love how after all the years they all watched Buffy stab vampires with a stake, their first thought when she made that hand motion was the suggestion that the demons be jerked off. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Where is this sourced from? I have a dvd version which has the sides cropped. And an HD version which the top/bottom and strangely a bit from the sides as well cropped, at the stabbing innuendo part. Quite horrible. Why can't they just scan the whole film for HD? Whatever the aspect ratio...
The tension in this scene is absolutely insane. Not even God himself would be able to convince me that they didn't have a thing for each other. Roland Barthes would probably agree.
This was always my favorite episode and my favorite scene. It’s just so freaking funny and I always die laugh at this one particular scene especially at Buffy’s hand motion.
I’ve watched the episode and know it isn’t correct but him walking into a restaurant assuming they won’t poison his food kind of highlights his point. We take it for granted that we implicitly trust strangers with what goes into our bodies when it should be something we should logically be paranoid about for our own survival
Dear god! The german voices are SO different... I think it's really interesting how this can make a character change so much. I can't understand every single word Sherlock says, but it is more... specific and less arrogant. He is more focused on every little detail he is saying because of effectiveness. Cool! But I like both:)
Hush: An episode where no one can talk. Once More With Feeling: An episode where no one can shut up. They're two sides of the same coin. It's no wonder they're both right next to each other on most "best episode" lists.
I never really got the sense this version of Sherlock was gay. Sherlock’s a challenging person to read in many respects, but I always got the sense that he was asexual, or at least too disinterested to really pursue anything (with really anyone). One thing we know about him is that he’s not at all concerned with what people think of him, so it’s not in his nature to take effort to fully explain himself (unless it’s unraveling some worthy case). He says as much to John in The Reichenbach Fall: (paraphrased) “It really bothers you doesn’t it...what people think?” I guess the possibility is there but I really never got that impression.
Same, and personally, I never get that johnlock ship. For me they are just friends, I mean, John seems to be only interested in women and concerning Sherlock, the only time he seemed to be different was with Irene Adler
Asexuality is pop psychology meme created in early 2000s. Nobody is asexual . Sherlock is gay but has emotional issues, thats his whole arc told by subtext and metaphors
