We find out that Giles has grown much more attached to Buffy than he expected to...or perhaps is wise to. She's The Slayer. His job(his Duty) is to send her into combat every night of her life until she gets killed. ALL Slayers die in battle. Almost all die very young and very badly. What do you do when your Slayer gets murdered? Drink yourself to death? Maybe...it would be better to keep your distance and think of her as a weapon to be employed and, regrettably, used up...
I love that Cordelia Chase has the same initials as the actress that plays her . Charisma Carpenter. ❤Keep up the great work. I hope all is well my friend .❤🙂
Buffy's face when the dad starts in on his speech was such impressive acting. Really one of my favorite moments from season 1. I mean it was sad as hell, but SMGs acting was beautiful.
Interesting concept of nightmares coming to life and seeing the coach as the real villain here causing distress to Billy. Also I hate spiders too...love that shirt you're wearing Andres.
i thought this was a bit scary when it came out cause you can imagine what that might be like. i hate spiders and clowns. the bit where the kid wakes up,says he had a bad dream, you where there and you etc is the same as when dorothy wakes up with the showman and farm hands that played the wizard, lion, scarecrow and tin man around her bed in the wizard of oz.
Nightmares was one of the better written episodes of BTVS in S1. The interesting concept here of everyone's nightmares coming true in reality, also the the spectre of child exploitation here with the demon used as the metaphor, even though we see the coach as the real villain causing the distress to Billy Palmer. This episode is definitely a step up for show in S1 and really shows where the series can go.
