Vlad are you sure? I heard ramping is about to jump on a pad at the very edge (I know you can do it on palmslane for example) (It’s because they coded the game so you can walk on stairs) And a ramp jump is a jump followed by another jump while ascending. A ramp jump can’t be done when in falling state.
@@jahVlad But normally, like in the video you sent, a ramp jump is a jump followed by another jump while ascending. Here he jump normally twice, then flew for a while, and then jumped twice real quick.
never really tried promod but why does alot of runners strafe slowly and hit walls instead of cutting the corners with sharper lines? i guess you keep more momentum turning slower + no loss of hitting walls (?)
my guess would be that they set their pacing\pathing for the following sequence of jumps that need specific aproach either that or at high speed sometimes its better to hit a wall abit rather than make a sharp turn that will make u lose more speed in the situation. By saying cutting corners with sharper lines do u mean "skimming" ? cause I dont think thats optimal in all situations. also if u use cgaz hud u will see that u cant rly do sharp turns and maintain gaining speed while moving very fast.
On long maps, it’s more important to build speed (ideally early) than to cut corners, and that’s most efficiently done without super sharp turns. Hitting the wall is def not ideal but in a run this long it just sort of happens. (:
