Watch BUGATTI chief pilot Andy Wallace's World Record run! Final speed: 304.77mph / 490.48 kph. Congratulations! bugatti.com / bugatti / bugatti / bugatti
How though? Do u know what a fighter actually sounds like? It sounds like a car not even close to the sound of a jet. this is what a jet sounds like:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ye72yJyWxs8.html if it were to sound like a plane it would sound more like a prop plane
Terrifying part is that the Hellcat becomes incredibly unstable at around 190 MPH due to the violent Eddie currents generating under the car. Could possibly cause the front wheels to lift off of the ground which is the last thing you want at those speeds. This is why things like NACA ducts and other aero extremities are important.
@@loganzamanwalker8763 I'm perfectly aware of that. I was ironic. I would be so upset if I would have worked hard at Bugatti to produced the world fasted car, then the p**sies at VAG don't dare do show that it actually can (or they know something we don't)! I'm pretty sure they the driver wouldn't have any issue with riding it on public roads in both direction. Koenigsegg did it on a public road with a customer car. Bugatti doesn't even allow their customer to try it themselves. It's just as stupid as giving a Hellcat to a customer and forbid him drive on a drag strip!
@robaloxxx look for Radim Passer, a Bugatti Veyron owner in Germany who reached 402km/h in Autobahn. Bugatti allows customers to bring their cars in Ehra Lessien test track where the Veyron/Chiron can reach it's top speed. It's actually most Bugatti customers who aren't maximising their Veyron/Chiron
man its already been 3 years? I remember very well waking up on a nice labor day morning opening up youtube and seeing this on my recommend. The magical 300 mph barrier has been talked about in the car world for a long, long time. I thought it would be the Keonigsegg Jesko or maybe the Venom that would break it. But seeing the Chiron not only break 300 but make it to 304, it was incredible. Hats off to Bugatti
Records are still being broken but this car will always be special. Like the Ferrari F40 was the first road car to break 200mph the Chiron will go down in history as the first to break 300mph
@@Porsche_Addict05 no bruhhh guinness book of world records didn't give them any record and the Chiron ss 300+ is a modified chiron not a production car Chiron super sport is the production version of it only btw the super sport is just a road legal Chiron ss 300+ 30-40 mph slower
Koenigsegg may have beaten the record of Chiron, but we can't forget that Ragera was hybrid. Chiron uses pure IC engines and still manages to reach 400kmph in 42 seconds. I think that is insane.
Golan Klinger bro, you‘ll see everything on german autobahns as long as the straight is long enough 😂😂 been driving with 250 in an audi, got overtaken by a ferrari probably on top speed, screaming his soul out 😂
What if... A plane (on the ground) hits you from behind and is going 300mph. Then you get a spood boost and should be fine... If you don't get crushed. Sure... You might swerve into a ditch or something but that's fine. 300mph into a patch of dirt is minor. Just a few scratches. Maybe a loose limb rolling about . Nothing major
It's not just the speed and power, it's the style, the comfort, the stability, and everything else that makes Bugatti the front runners of zero compromise, more than Koenigsegg, SSC, Hennessey, or any other Hyper Car company.
SirPringleMcDingle but u still have to worry u stupid fucking shit a spoiler won’t always stop it from lifting up we’re talking about 300 mph dumbass not 150 or 200
@@evilnigga68 Even counting the other cars going in either direction, they don't come any were near this kind of speed. Bugatti is at the top when it comes to performance and speed, they have been for decades
Obsessed with Bugatti ever since I read an article about it in Popular Mechanics. Decades later, it's only gotten better. The W16 engine is a masterpiece. I wish I could see every step of production.
Bugatti isn't the furst to break 300 mph tho. Yeah. In modern production they did but before the 304mph. A 2006 ford gt hit 300 back in like May i think. (Maybe earlier)
Coming back to this remembering the feeling of reading the caption the day this came out. My first thought was “what!? They did it already?” I thought 300mph was years off. No one else has done it 4 years later. Such a cool video, I had to come back and rewatch. Bravo 🎉 What an achievement!
@@florianreinhardt4689 Nope. I was talking about the risk. If anything goes wrong, 200mph or 300mph is the same, you're dead. That's what I was saying, no need to be so aggressive.
Full power Bugatti wow that’s amazing I still watch this to this day it’s amazing at how much time and development they took to build this and now let that Zr1 run at full power oooweeee
Bro I love you bro and all of y'all. I would have created the meanest failsafe ever. I respect the hell out of the people that just do this. I didn't even know how many more times I can say I love you but I freaking love you.
Diemerstein I was gonna say hold my Jagermeister but I thought some ppl wouldn’t get it so I just decided to go french. Also I don’t really know exactly how much hands VW really has on the car.
It's incredible ,I've watched this of course after viewing both land speed records set by James May on the very same track ,good time..awesome cars ,nowadays everything's so boring .
@Zack Smith Nothing about this car is modified this is Supersport Version of Chiron with longer more aerodynamic body which reduces drag... Drag being the biggest obstacle in top speed of a car and some added... 100 hp over regular Chiron. The stripped interior was because of measuring instruments needing to be installed and roll cage was mandatory for safety. Let's face it no customer will likely ever reach in 304 mph in their Chiron but they most certainly are sitting in a car that can do it as showed in the video.
@Zack Smith Firstly, please learn to type in grammatically correct sentences. Secondly, who are you to decide that buying a Bugatti, let alone any hyper car, is a waste of money? If you really enjoy something, no matter how much it costs, to you, it's not a waste of money. Sure, someone else may view it as irresponsible spending, but you might also view something they purchased as a waste of money, and an instance of irresponsible spending. Maybe you should acquire some humility, and realize that just because you think something is pointless, and not worth the cost, doesn't mean that everyone thinks that. Grow up you arrogant child.
@Zack Smith Actually no, the Bugatti Chiron (this specific version, since you won't accept anything other than exact statements) is the first car of any kind to achieve a speed of 304.77 MPH. No single production car aside from the "Modified" Ford GT has even broken 300 MPH to this day.
Charlie Nichols i mean i don’t think the helmet would hurt his chances of survival, but generally, any crash at 300mph is deadly regardless of a helmet
I drove a koenigsegg agera rs once and i went 309mph on a test track. So this does not surprise me bugatti, sorry. then i turned off my xbox and went to sleep.
Trust me , next big thing is going to be Koenigsegg hitting 500kmh, whatever that is in imperial. (If Americans love freedom, then why the hell do they use Imperial units ? wth )
If you watch emperor lemon’s “Never Ever” documentary about NASCAR on RU-vid, there were a few occasions where some race cars would have a collision or malfunction, causing it to drift sideways, and because of the aerodynamics of the vehicle, actually pick up off the ground and fly for a short amount of time.
Anyone can just put some crazy engines on their car and try to hit that 300mph mark but to make a body that actually make sense for a road car and not flying is always the true challenge.
Y TF ru being such bitc# no one did anything to u so how bout u stfu and get yo 5 yr old just learned how 2 cuss as$ off the comments and wtf kinda vids u make u out here talkin all that wit those vids now i dont even make vids but urs suck ahh
