Hi dude you are the best out here so helpfull...have you explained in any of your viedeos about needles?l would like to know exactly about different tapers what and what actually taper is and what different tapers are best for? thank you
everyone does their own thing. There isn't a real standard established for tattoo equipment. I switched brands one time and it messed me up. The needles were not the same. Their liner needles were too loose. It was like using a shader when I wanted to line. You have to look into the company and their products before you buy.
Tattoo artist traditionally have not helped each other out. They didn't share information. This leads us to the problems we have today. Nobody agrees on terminology. There are no standards. I usually go with the information that Eikon has. I use the terminology that they do because they have a good foundation in the tattoo industry. They aren't going any where any time soon.
@@TattooUniversity is a liner needle thats too loose give you lines that kinda of look like a rake? Instead of getting a solid line I'll get a line that seems too look like multiple lines in 1? I only have that problem with a 9rl when I look at it closely seems like everything is spread out
@@jparshall6730 Shader needle is a loose group. The needles aren't close together and you can get that effect if you are lining with it. That type of needle is typically used for filling in color. If you are getting this effect with a tight group your machine isn't going fast enough or the needle isn't secure in the tip. If you are using a round tip switch to a diamond tip. See if you are still having this issue. If your needle isn't sitting properly it will spit ink everywhere and move around giving you lines where you don't want them.
