The plaintiff allowed her cousin, the defendant, to move in with her when he was going through a tough time. However, the plaintiff alleges the defendant still owes her eight months' rent and money for a personal loan, so she's suing. The defendant argues the plaintiff's house was so filthy there were bugs crawling up the wall, so he shouldn't have to pay.

If it's in their name. You have to walk on eggshells due to all the you can do and not do while you're living there. Need my own sanctuary. My own spot. My own bills cause nine times out of ten you probably paying more then them if it's in their name. Problem.

I see why Mathis was cancelled. The way he acts throughout many of his later cases was very unbecoming as a judge and can clearly see how and why he was shown the door. But it's sad to see family divided because of something like this. The plaintiff was just trying to help out her cousin but got shitted on in the end.
