Speaking of bugs, Mr. Sno, have you played a game called Bug Fables. It was made to play like the old paper Mario games, and I feel like it deserves more attention. I posted a similar comment earlier but wanted to ask you directly.
After playing it and 100% ing it, like this game is something that will be talked about for years and examples of a goofy premise with legitimate emotional topics that are handled wonderfully. One of my top 10 games ever.
It's weird because it all still feels kind of like a joke to me. A goofy premise taking itself so seriously, yet in an endearing and well-written way. I think the game itself is ok, nothing particularly amazing, but I can under no circumstances deny it's qualities.
@@TheDaemonDD bugsnax is not ok. It is actually a great game. Capturing these bugsnax is very satisfying. I think this how quest should be done in games. It is inspiring in this case.
Oh, thank God. This game is gonna get the attention it deserves. I was so worried it wasn't going to. No joke; I was so hyped since I heard Young Horses was making another game. I bought it on launch, and it matched my expectations. What a great followup to the company's first work. It's not just a meme, it's a legitimately great game!
When Altrive (A.K.A Pikmin 4) started playing it I hadn’t seen anything about the game so I watched it expecting some intense irony, and while it started that way it morphed in both my heart and Altrive’s headt into a genuine enjoyment. I wish I had the funds to buy a PS5, cause with Spider-Man AND Bugsnax on the same console it’s a must play.
I like that the examples for how to catch the bugsnax in the desert was completely different as to how I caught them. There is a surprising amount of freedom in the game, it is not a simple puzzle with one solution, you have a set of tools and the game let's you try everything. It's really, really good. And I immediately had the same comparitive thought to pokemon snap, it really scratches that itch.
Come to think of it, this is very similar to Slime Rancher. Both are first person games with island traversal and catching creatures, but Slime Rancher uses a suction device with various items to feed the bouncing slimes. It's more about inventory management than kinetic puzzle solving.
YES SWEET VALIDATION if you told me a month ago that i would hyperfixate on this game i would roll my eyes but now.... .....im desperately hounding every corner of the internet for fan content
Wow talk about judging a book by the cover, boy oh boy was I wrong, this seems like a blast. Also very clever game play loops which I can highly appreciate.
Was kind of surprised to learn that this wasn't made by the developers who made Hello Puppets!, the way the mouths on the characters move is very similar to some of the puppets. Maybe they shared some animators/artists?
Dude... that pokemon snap theme just ducked me up. Brought back so many memories. I'd love to watch the rest of your video but now I have to try to clear my mind so I can go to sleep. I don't know if this is a mental disorder or something but it physically hurts my heart to remember fond memories of my childhood. It's like, any time I get a strong sense of nostalgia or remember something, good or bad from my past my anxiety goes through the roof and I have to quickly try to forget it all again. Idk if it's cuz I'm super sad about being an adult and leaving those precious, innocent years behind or what. Well this was quite a tangent, thanks for listening, and have a nice day!
Did you know the screen size is 40000px by 22.738px? On top of that they use a technique called Fully Dynamic Depth-of-Field Cueing, xbox fans really made a grave mistake picking their baby console now
Two things, first is that while pokemon snap gets brought up a lot, a game that I would argue shares more DNA is the Ape Escape series with its puzzle based catching of the apes. Secondly, I disagree on the puzzle part you mentioned, unless you meant figuring out how to catch Bugsnax. I feel the game actually sorely lacked optional environmental secrets with pretty much all of them being discovered and solved via doing quests and the only optional one I can think of being the boiling bay-sizzling sands shortcut puzzle. Which is pretty disappointing in my opinion considering how the atmosphere would lend itself well to more hidden secrets.
Hey Mr. Snoman, it's more heartbreaking when you don't do all the side quests and allow all the villagers to die from eating too many Bugsnax at the end combat scenes. It's really depressing..... There is a video on RU-vid if you haven't seen it. It's worse if you did it correctly the first time with the best possible ending. That way you can see the contrast of everything.
Wow, I only came here when I just listened to the Kero Kero Benito song. Now your telling me its a Pokemon snap clone but good? Dang what a quick time to be alive.
Ngl, out of all PS5 games i have currently, Bugsnax is my most playtime and the only game i manage to 100% completion (not counting Astro's Playroom). The musics, settings and story makes me addicted to this game. I really want more of this in the future.
There is a crazy amount of stuff you can do with the mechanics in this game no joke. Try watching different people play. Everyone has their own strategies and ideas as to how to do things, it's beautiful.
I read your thumbnail text as “You Weed to play:” because of the font. If I had to recommend a game to play Stoned outta your mind, that would be Journey (PS3/4).
@@Mqstodon TOK is my most hated game ever at this point. It had nothing I could find enjoyable. If you liked it, then whatever. Like what you want to like, I'm not going to stop you. I'll only have an issue if you try to say I'm bad or horrible for hating TOK.
Eh, don't buy a game based on resolution. If you did that, then back in the day you would have bought Bubsy 3D, and no one should play Bubsy 3D. Bubsy 3D had the highest resolution of any console game at the time, and it still managed to look terrible.
this game is a combination of Pokemon Snap and Viva Pinata, when l first saw this game i thought it was made by Rare Ltd and thought it was a spinoff of Viva Pinata !
Here is a recent game that is actually exactly like Pokémon Snap: Penko Park. Check it out, it's on Steam :) I'd even go so far and say it's a lot better than Pokémon Snap, as the core mechanics are more fleshed out!
Hey Snowman, you don’t have to but I would love to see more kaizo videos on this channel or the second channel . I really enjoy those videos, but you don’t have to if you think that all has been said on that topic.
You need to play Inertial Drift. It's honestly the best racing game 2020 and I feel like from views and player numbers it didn't get the attention it deserves. Just try the demo and tell me you're not hooked.
