If you are a Woman and you Love and admire SUPER Women as this guest in this interview, give Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie a thumbs up because she speaks for the WOMEN 👍👍👍!
Thanks Charles for a brilliant presentation. Kudos and thanks to the beautiful and sharp Ngozi Adichie. I think she speaks for all truth loving and detribalized Nigerians everywhere. That the 2023 elections is hugely compromised through bribery and corruption is not a rumour. It is actually the bare truth and reeks of wanton impunity! As for Prof. Soyinka's allusion to Datti Ahmed's speech as akin to fascism, I am still blown away by this assertion and don't see any need for it neither do i agree with those calling for him to be charged with treason.
Intelligence at it's highest peak! That was exactly what Chimamanda Ngozi just demonstrated so effortlessly!! I'm so proud to have her as my Nigerian sister.
She has never believe in one Nigeria just as her father and have never write to condemn the killing in the south east and at a time she was castigating the federal government of Nigeria for arresting MNK and when MNK was broadcasting an order of terrorism act during the end Sars she can’t condemn it
An epitome Not of tribalism Not of stomach infrastructure Not of cronyism But of a commitment to The good of mankind The good of 🇳🇬 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 New Nigeria! We hail thee It is the only place to go. The insides of people's pockets is a very dark, dank and disrespectful place to be. God of our New Nigeria, speak loudly for us until... We are truly free 🙇🏾♀️🙏🏾🇳🇬💕
@Masud Saleh. It is people like you that turn everything into Tribalism. So because of one man's decision, a whole tribe should be punished? Then perhaps the Hausas should be punished because of Abacha's Kleptocratic rule, the Yorubas should be punished because of Tinubu's drug involvement, the list goes on and on and on. Stop thinking like a tribal bigot and focus on the actual issue. The election was shamelessly and evidently flawed and Nigerians are demanding for justice to prevail.
@Masud Saleh: Is that why you remain the most poorest region is Nigeria despite the North has been ruling Nigeria for many decades yet they can only boast of producing almajiris while Igbos commoners are the richest. It is about getting it right so you and your unborn generations can have a better future and better standard of living because you weren't created to live in abject poverty while your few politicians steals what is means for all. Wake up and change your mindset then think of better tomorrow.
If you can't learn anything from Peter Obi and Chimamanda learn that you can make your point without insulting anyone. I'm really grateful for this election that passes
It's not easy to assume that position. Respectfully making a point that you are passionate about takes a lot of maturity. A maturity more superior than education.
Lol… let’s bring back shaming the stupid! There’re too many hopelessly shameless stupid stupid in this country! So maybe before you open your mouth to talk you think carefully
For saying you are really grateful for dis election that passes simply means you are an idiot... How can you comment meaningless tins, and expect not to be insulted
In Nigeria, it is a scam. Education comes in different forms, but it's quite unfortunate that we only look at formal education as the real education. Beyond formal education is morals, value and virtue which cut across every other form of education. That is what is found in this lady. Our professor lack all these, what then are our professors, passing to the younger generation. When a whole professor tells you white is black just because he has formal education. We have a long way to go.... We all just need to value right thing and do the right thing irrespective of your status. Truth is truth, lie is lie.
Her Father: First Professor of Statistics in Nigeria Her Mother: First Female Registrar of the University of Nigeria. Herself: Nigeria's Most Internationally Recognised & Awarded Author. I want🥺
You are very right. I couldn't believe that she came to Nigeria to grant this interview. I also think that she is a global citizen and can request the American secret service protection or whatever security to accompany her and Nigeria has the responsibility to protect a citizen of her status. She is a lot bigger than Soyinka now
Exactly! I thought that she was in the States. Her being in Nigeria is showing them that she is not afraid of them. Let the idiots try to arrest for sedition as they were mouthing off earlier in the week. They go to use words that they have no idea of the meaning. mtcheew
Wow, this is class, brilliance and wisdom coming from a Nigerian woman. She expressed herself politely and maturely. Nigeria will surely be great. Fellow Nigerians, let’s don’t allow people will juvenile mindsets to use religious or tribal bigotry to destroy the glorious future of our nation. Our focus should be Nigeria must work for everyone. God bless Nigeria! God bless Chimamanda! God bless AriseTV!
I agree wholeheartedly..........while I supported Peter Obi during the elections, my initial support was for Osinbajo .......who visited Anambra more than 10 times as VP.......I loved the passion he showed for the long suffering SME businesses in Nnewi.............As a Lagosian myself I know that Tinubu is not a bad administrator but age and health are not on his side! We must show restraint in the face of massive provocation from the other side.........if Peter Obi loses at the Supreme Court, let him prep for 2027
@@elookonkwo9741 Tinubu might not be a bad administrator but he is a brutal kleptomaniac, along with his cronies. Moreover, he will be working with the same set of people in the current government, how then do we expect anything better??
@Masud Saleh You are not right in ascribing the error of Aguiyi Ironsi to the whole of the Igbo people. There is some truth to your assertion, but you must acknowledge that it was the error of one man and not that of the Igbo people. If you are an honest and sincere person, then you must be able to make that separation.
@Masud Saleh Go back and Read your history again. This time, please make sure your head and heart are in a tabula rasa state, void of hate and stupidity. To preempt you, the 1966 coup was ironic, a push went wrong. Hatched there in the North, spearheaded by Unfortunately Soldier Of Ibo Extraction, born and raised in the North and whose first name is Kaduna...It had Soldiers of even Northerns as well.

She got brains. As a woman who inspires other women in Cameroon, I love her ways of viewing things. She has an inbuilt within. I pray God preserved her on our generation.
Omg!!! This lady is indeed an embodiment of beauty and brain …. Well spoken without fear and without attacking her haters….That was the voice of millions of well meaning Nigerians aired by her humble self . ❤
Chimamanda - My spirit or "chi" can never be broken Ngozi - Blessing Adichie - One who has replaced the old. She has lived up to her names 100% plus+ She is a testament to other continents around the world of the abundant wisdom rooted in the way African parents name their children.
When Buhari lost presidential election in 2011 his followers in the north massacred more than 800 people who were mostly christians and southerners. No one was ever arrested or prosecuted. But God hasn't forgotten.
@Masud Saleh You are such a very very daft person who actually does not deserve to be a human being because you do not have any sense of human being in you at all. One Igbo man decreed something and you with your empty brain are tying it on the Igbos. is it now safe to say that as Buhari is a Fulani man that failed Nigeria, it means that Fulanis has failed Nigeria? Use that thing they call a brain for once naa... even goats use it to an extent. Why do you just hate the Igbos for not doing anything at all to you
@Masud Saleh who is this one? What an out of point comment. This bad belle bigotry comment is what u could come up with after listening to this sound interview. How will this ur comment help solve the hardship your favourite and maybe tribal brothers have dragged Nigerians into? Atleast the Ibo man have not been ruling the country. Na ur people dey rule since. U really need help.
God can never make mistake for bringing chimamanda into limelight, the most funny thing is that upon the Nigeria corrupt leaders stolen money none of their children can ever get to this brilliant lady level
This lady is truly an astonishing figure that has without fear spoken the truth for millions of Nigerians . She exudates brilliance , intelligence , diplomacy , fairness and justice. Thank you Chimamanda. You are a blessing to Nigerians .
This interview is too good, informative, and educative to be this short... Please, next time, give her more time... Chimamanda is a gift to this generation... 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Yes, eloquent and grammarian, I really appreciate her in all ramifications but her English speaking may not go with legal interpretation of our constitutions by the judges.
What you said only happens to authentic people not people who are eager to lose who they truly are, denying their roots and origin and clinching/clinging another’s origin and root. She’s a true proud Nigerian woman.
@@adajohn2750 excuse you but if someone who leaves at a young age or their teens schools abroad they are bound to loose their accent. Doesn't mean they are pretentious. It's just life
@@ibezekiel1004 I beg to disagree to some extent. Yes, the environment will influence your accent however some people are so eager to learn the accent even while in the motherland. Education is a national asset, knowledge is power. When a woman is educated, a nation is educated. I think some of our professors needs to learn from this noble woman.
It’s my first time seeing Chimamanda speak. Her appearance and speech on Arise Prime TV revealed the lioness in her. Her dazzling personality is enough to reduce her critics to nothing. She’s indeed adorable!

Thank you so much my dear sister Chimamanda for speaking truth to power 💪💪 fearlessly and for your politeness on addressing Professor Wole Soyinka idea on fascism. You are indeed “a Nigerian woman” in the likes of those great Nigerian women Nigeria forever remembers and honours ! Am able to breath in free fresh air in my lungs 🫁 on your sincerity and in airing your sincere, honest opinion and observations on Nigeria and her election. Thank you for not being selfish with the truth and for being fearless in the midst of personal interest driven politicians fascism. Thank you so much my darling sis. I really do love you and I admire your endless love for motherland Africa and for our amiable nation Nigeria !! A good working Nigeria is possible !!! Those that feed fat on the corruption in Nigeria will not let go without a fight. You don’t stop a suckling child breastfeeding with ease nor with smiles !!! ❤❤❤❤ Thank you dear sis for adding your voice to voices of the masses in Nigeria that are suppressed on a daily . God bless you Chimamanda God bless Arise TV for standing for the truth even when it hurts. God bless Nigeria 🇳🇬 Amen 🙏🏼 !
Funmilayo you give us great hope to stay in this fight to set Nigeria on a path that will lead her to monumental leaps and bounds not just for our nation but for the rest of the continent who look up to us. A prospering Nigeria will have a great effect on the minds and hearts of other African nations in the same dire situations we are in.
What do you expect from her. Ti support Ibo like her. She is a fan's of IPOB, If it were to be that Obi won,and other ate contesting, would she write that kind of letter? That is a question you should ask yourselves. That is to tell you that she is fighting for her IBO tribe not Nigerian. Let's be realistic for once. Can anyone of you imagine that obi will win in Hausas land? He can never . Can Datti influence vote in Hausas land ? That is NO. Who knows Datti before in Hausas land? Nobody. He was fighting for senatorial posts in his constituency beforehand and you think it can influence vote in hausa land when Atiku and APC are there.
Arise TV will soon be sued for Libel. They will revoke their licence. People are already working on gathering the information needed at the court already
I went through a few comments on this interview. Did anyone else observe that almost all is positive. No causing, no insult, no argument and derogatory remarks. Thank you Chimamanda for having this positive impact on these many people. God bless you.
Usually, it is someone who brings nothing to the table that usually spoils for a fight..Reason is simple, replace reason with poison! If you have a good product, you will proudly market...We will insist on addressing the issues ..
One thing I take home reading most comments is recognition of greatness, it shows Nigerians are united in something good! And we can achieve that with one voice without bias. Respect to Chimamanda, more respect to everyone whom have shown unity in their expression of her message.
@Masud Saleh there's nothing in her statement that warrants this ethnic card you're playing. @BKB never mentioned anything about Igbo so why are you bringing this up? How does this help us as a country to move forward? Hmmm
I don't agree with you. Charles is very good at English language that's all. Charles practises safe journalism. He doesn't throw tough questions. The sad thing about Charles is he is always making powerful points look weightless and loosing relevance.
@@chimakalu5195 He is a good interviewer. He may not be confrontational (all journalists don’t have to be), but he asks the right questions and follow-ups. He knows how to bring out information from his interviewees.

U can't be so sure sir. Just Wait until dele alake and festus keyamo are thru with their mischief over this interview... She is so refined and precise .

I thought they said why is she writing that letter in the US,why not do it in Nigeria, and here she comes to Dare them to do their worse in Lagos,Nigeria.....Indeed she is not scared of anyone and a powerful woman....Beauty with brain
That was not an essential criticism, l don't leave in Nigeria and l was not in Nigeria, but witnessed physically, mentally, photographically, spiritually saw the manipulation as it was being put into actions. We saw the action and reaction of the police people, and the contestants, we saw the attitude of the cjn, tinunbu, yakubu. And buhari and everyone involved in the election. If he's Capable, l mean tinunbu, let him sue her, then we all will have to attend the courts. So if music is the fruit of love, my dear good writer, play on.

Everything she said here and the letter are mere hearsay which she did not witness. Very obvious she's talking as an ibo girl and pained because her candidate lost
She is a gift to those of us who do not have the words to articulate what we see, what we feel and what we expect from this our difficult country. Thank you Arise and her Excellency
When you see an elegant and brave woman like Chimamanda, I am always proud to be a Nigerian! I celebrate you ma. We still have hope of a sane place to call a home!
Twenty-five minutes seemed like five minutes. Her respectfully brave eloquence, poise, the peace and clarity that her voice exudes are rare combinations in one person. I never get bored listening to her speeches.
I heard that too and nodded to it. Indeed he threw away birthright for plate of "roasted corn" and "ewa". What a shame for a man who says he's a professor.
Brilliance is not bought in the market; Chimamanda Adichie has it plenty. What an insightful and riveting interview. It got me engrossed and proud of this icon of the literary world and illustrious Igbo daughter. Such a strong, indomitable character.
This will be my third time listening to this interview. What an amazing woman. We need more educated people in Nigeria not thugs . Thank you Charles and chimamanda
No other way to know decency and good breed by the articulation of the truth by this blessing of a woman to Nigeria, Africa, and the black race. The APC rabble rousers have a lot to learn from this highly gifted lady. She's a gem nor only to Africa, but also the human race.
She write for her living then how does she mother of Africa and black race. Some one who is bigot bcos Obi came visit her village, so Obi is nice. Nigerian supposed to handover the presidency to Obi, bcos she related to her. Obi is a crying baby to gain sympathy of his Igbo people. Obi in court, then let the court do their job. Since USA bless Chinmamnda with what she can't handle, too much for her to swallow living in USA what area has she help to contributed to American society in kind, or deed. Has she help in voluntaire her time in soup kitchen, or contribute her time for her adopted country. Now to called think USA is twoface, bcos her uncle Obi did not win , and USA withes the winner . Obi, Datti, and all obidient will not accept the court final say either. Chidimanda is not special.

Chimamanda has ascended to a level above and beyond Wole Soyinka. She is now the moral compass that Wole Soyinka and Chinua Achebe used to be. It’s wonderful to see how she has taken up this rôle eloquently and elegantly as manifested in this interview. I give her kudos for her composure, intellect and courage to speak the truth to power.
This stream of wisdom is someone I could listen to forever. You can't help but fall in love with everything about her, from her poise to her eloquence in speech to the sparkle in her eyes to her peacefulness. I mean, I could go on and on without getting bored.
Chimamanda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! goddess of class, elegance, eloquence and power. Such a brilliant interview and such a beautiful woman! Without being condescending, she brilliantly delivered.
Very articulated and calculated in speech and ideas delivery. You have said it all. Righteousness MUST prevail. No room for drug addicts in the political space.
@Masud Saleh you made a good point , but this point has already been floored by the bigotry line of ethnicity you highlighted. Is it because Aguiironci was an igbo man that hou had to blame that "mistake" on the igbos? I think I have a problem with that. Why didnt you say it's a "mistake" of the military leadership of that time, rather than it was of the igbos. I believe that the so called mistake( unitary system of governance promulgation of the then military) was also intended for good, but met this type of loo we have today. Until the people of Nigeria learn to stop arrogating blames on each other like you have done, instead of on the system, you people will continue to wallow in thesame circles without positive progress.
@Masud Saleh ethnic bigot. Why are you going everywhere replying to people's comments spreading this hate for Igbos which is out of context with the issues on ground?
This woman is beautiful inside and out. A crowning jewel to her husband. "Prof Yakubu had the opportunity for heroism but he wasted it spectacularly" No chief, he didn't, he made enough profit off it to give himself a very comfortable life. When Chimamanda refused to collect the national honours award it seemed like she was being stubborn but she knows why she did that.
I felt like crying as I read through the comments about this interview I could not see any one criticize her submission based on ethnicity but virtually every one was pleased that A NIGERIAN posseses this interlectual bravery this is what is lacking in our quest to have a better nigeria
I thought I was the one reading through the names and comments made by them. It’s wonderful to see the unionism among all Nigerians when it comes to saying the truth but the evil politicians like to divide us for their selfish interests during elections
