You shouldn’t regret what you did, it’s just lessons learn, things happen for a reason, just learn from it and move on, things will get better soon… pray & ask God for guidance 🙏❤️
Moving out of CA takes a lot of work but also harder to get back. It’s not for everyone but I truly love CA especially the southern part due to weather. It’s really what you’re paying for because you cannot find anything like it.
We moved out of California in 2022 . Sold the house with furniture. Bought a hauling trailer for $1,400 squeezed in the essentials , hauled it to Texas than sold it when we got here 😂 Moving out of California can be shocking at first but anywhere else is way better to raise a family. California is not going anywhere you can always go back and visit !
Ive moved across country multiple times and its way way way cheaper to just sell all your stuff and not spend all that money moving everything. You don't have to deal with moving it all and in the end you replace everything with new and it'll cost less. Don't get attached to stuff.
I used to live in California and we move after 2years. There’s a lot of competition to get a job. We analyzed our expenses, the taxes, the cost of Gas, cost of owning a house or renting a house in short the cost of living is too high. So I decided to apply for a job on the east coast specifically in Virginia Beach. The cost of living is definitely lower than California. I have no regrets moving in Virginia. Weather is almost the same in California and also lots of Filipinos because of the Military bases.
@@j0p1n0y3, I know VIrginia Beach is not close to CA coast. We’re not talking about the beaches we’re talking about the standard of living. In Virginia Beach we don’t have homeless people like you have in California. We do have some but not that many. Our gas prices here is half of what you’re paying. Food is cheaper and rent is also cheaper. I am just saying there are options. If you don’t want to move then don’t move no body is forcing you.
@@louies8473 - I have lived in Northern VA - Fairfax City for 15 years and it’s beautiful. Cost of living is almost same in CA although home sizes are incomparable. CA is not for everyone especially if the earning capacity is low. I definitely agree that options are out there.
Grew up in Hollywood California I left california 4 yrs ago Best decision ever! Bought me 10 acres out in the country illinois sitting on a hill valleys n trees loving it! Never going back!
So I moved my sister from fountain valley Cali to houston. Rented Penske truck in Tucson az, drove it to fountain valley, loaded, returned to Tucson, put my car on Penske car trailer & headed to Houston. About $6000 cheaper than renting truck in Cali. Like everything in life, planning pays! It’s pure stupidity to rent a truck in cali!
I worked as a contractor and worked in most states. While working in other states, I continued to keep my California home and eventually paid the house off... No way i woukd sell my California home because it was cheap when i bought it but now, the house is worth more than a million. Im staying in cali.
Abandoned California and moved to Las Vegas. There's A large vibrant Filipino community and I think contractors are in demand. It may not be as cheap as Oklahoma but much more reasonable than the Bay area and much better than LA where we left.
I felt similar moving from a lifetime in San Francisco to Central California where the cost of living is way way cheaper than anything. I've ever experienced sad and regret it but now I can travel way more. Hopefully you guys can do the same.
Plus most people don’t care for your home! The way you do. We had so much damage to a rental I had rented for only 5 years. I would never do that again. I hope the best for you both!😊

Thank you for sharing your experience in moving out of california to oklahoma. Nothing bad about it but, it is not for everybody. We have a house in oklahoma and my other son who is married had a house there too. Me and my wife still live here in san diego. It may be expensive but we get comfortably get by in everything we need as retired couple. There is plenty of amenities here than everywhere else so far. Geographycally and Weather wise, there is no comparison. Again, thank you for sharing your experiences and hoping for your success. Good luck.
Thank you for the info in using uhaul 1 way. I've been really thinking hard on how to do it. Planning to move next yr to VA, in God's will🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽. I can't afford So-Cal anymore, since my kids are all grown ups and out of the house. More power to you guys!
I'm retired and living alone in Cali . But your blog brings back many memories of moving state to state because of work. I know the biggest hassle is always making the decision regarding mortgage, housing & furniture. Just focus on balancing housing & cost of living, Always sell or give away furniture & put the money in the bank. But take heart , your skill will always provide job opportunities . God bless!
aww thank you soo soo much for this comment, we love seeing comments like this cos somehow we also learn from you guys. my husband & i really appreciate it! 🤗❤️
I bought my first condo back in 2003 for 113,000 long story short We sold about 2 years back 560,000 and the rent that we made out of this home after eight years 1.8 million by the way we live in San Diego County California. If you do things smart you can live rent free. I have not payed my mortgage for over 15 years. 🎉
Looks like money management is not your strong area. Reminds me of people that pay for storage of things that have less value then the storage cost after a few months. Some people never get wealthy because they spend money on things instead of paying off their house.
God's continued best to you both always ! Yes,we can become SO VERY ATTACHED to THINGS , when it is NOT necessary ! We live and learn ! Hope you find a new city/state that you love or maybe move back to California - we will welcome you back gladly !
Loving God, please grant me peace of mind and calm my troubled heart. My soul is like a turbulent sea. I can't seem to find my balance so I stumble and worry constantly. Give me the strength and clarity of mind to find my purpose and walk the path you've laid out for me.
Are you sorry that you left California for Oklahoma? Although living in Oklahoma is less expensive than California, the diversity of people and culture is quite different in California versus Oklahoma. Also, I believe Oklahoma is mostly flat compared to California. What's your opinion?
Nobody ever regretted moving out of California...you folks are hilarious..but i digress enjoying the content on channel. Being a landlord in California is a high risk situation
Thank you for the info,I really appreciate it,as I am thinking about moving from California to Texas simply because I have land there,,and I have found out that it ia veryexpensive to live in Texas
Yes U-haul is so expensive dto pa sa California. Anyways we learn from our mistakes. Grabe a lot of work so tiring g talaga sis. So true everything you do cost a lot of money here. But life must go on. Important ok at healthy kayo sis ang pera mdaling makita yan as long as you guys both working. Save up and start again. God bless you both
I bought a nice RV and traveled and lived in it full time. It was cheaper to move, find my place... but I ended up back in Cali. I live in my RV in a nice resort & can leave whenever.
I have a friend who left southern Cali with her family.to be closer.to her mother's family in Minnesota, and what she did was hire a moving.company because they realized the cost at the end of the day would have been close to the same amount had it done it the u haul way like you guys did. They just had to pack up everything and then had a crew come with a huge semi sized truck and pick up the entire contents except for whatever they set aside for immediate needs. Good luck To you guys and God speed friends! I hope you find a good Filipino food place out there to eat at too! That's my comfort food! ❤
New sub! Very interesting story. WHERE IN CALIFORNIA were you living? I'm from California originally but living in Portland, Oregon. I LOVED the house you showed as being your former home. I've lived all over the USA and Oregon is probably my favorite. I would consider North Carolina as a possibility EXCEPT for the humidity and bugs!
Hi thank you so much for watching and subscribing!😊 we were 1hour away from Sacramento, kinda near Jackson😊 We loved our home too and the location is very quiet and peaceful but we had to sell it🥹🤍 Yes North Carolina is very humid🥲 im missing the other side of the US already😅
@@lovingoz - We lived in Sacramento before moving to Portland! We lived in the University Park area, then Folsom, then Roseville! Beautiful area ... and my husband always said that Sacramento reminded him of Portland. (All the trees, I think) One of my co-workers lived in Auburn, I think ... and she mentioned Jackson from time to time. ❣️
The company I work for right now offered me to move to Kauai Hawaii.. They told me they will pay for my trip, my move, plus 15K dollar sign in bonus and 5K per year for the next 3 yrs. I chose to stay here but I kinda regretted the decision to stay..
Wow that was really a great offer po! Maybe at the time it was better to stay. its really hard to leave everything behind, trust me we know how it feels. Maybe theres something way better waiting for you🤗🥰❤️
@@lovingoz Actually the reason why I chose to stay was because I had a pending K1 visa application in process at the time. I wanted to wait until she gets here from the Philippines before I make that move. Also, sa vlog mo napanood namin how to fill out yung ibang papers para sa K1 visa application namin and we thank you for that. Now, Andito na si Fiance/wife. It’s been great so far.
We just watched your recent upload.. Andito kami sa California right now, I’ve been living here since 1994 kaya siguro ang hirap din sa akin mag decide na umalis lang bigla and move elsewhere since andito na din lahat ng family ko. Saka ayaw din ng wife ko mag move for now.. We love your vlogs po!
Thank you beautiful couple for sharing this because I have been thinking on this as I’m getting ready to make my move to California as well for me I’m fortunate to have military service pay for half my move cross country because I will be traveling from east to west and they will only pay for back to my home of record but if I leave I foot the entire bill or as yall did sale but I love my furniture it’s not even a year old yet
i lived in Las Vegas and there is a lot of people from California who are moving in Las Vegas because of a lot of reason, the traffic, homeless, taxes, gun control etc
Thank you for sharing this sis, movie out is not really an easy to do kc you have lots of things to be considered lalo na sa inyo mismo ung house but personally meron ako natutunan sa nangyare sa inyo, anyway that's fine I think you guys learnt from it.God bless sa inyo both.❤ Anyway, malapit na ako makapunta jan sis this october sa LA si fiance ko.😊
aww glad to hear that sis! oo sis shinare tlaga din namin pra din sa iba na nagpaplan din maglipat, para di na sila mapagaya samin at lesson na rin hehe🥰❤️ Nice sis! so excited for u here, make sure magpakasawa kana sa mga favorites mo dyan na pagkain na medyo pricey na dito filipino food haha🫶🏻🤗
You two are still young couples, probably no children as yet. Easy to move around. Yes, you could? got rid of some furniture and just buy simple and good size furniture. Lesson learned. Since I came to the West Coast California, between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, California, from V. Mapa Sta Mesa, Manila 🇵🇭, I am still living here, in California; People complained of being an expensive State; people leaving California, I am still here. I am blessed to have a job, working for Department of Defense (DoD) ; Department of the Navy (DoN); I also thought of transferring to another military Naval base. I was hesitant of so many reasons? I am still here until the time I bought my house. I bought my house when the market was down. All homes started to sell for lower prices and interest rate was also lower. It was meant for us to purchase after so many years of renting. It came at the right time. It was absolutely worth waiting. Now, my house has a huge selling price. I could make good money from selling it and move to another State. Again, I am scared. I live in California longer than I lived in the Philippines. It is hard and expensive to own a home. Maintenance and some remodeling are good. We are closer to the beach. So, I just take some traveling to see another States. I don’t gamble and drink alcohol. Simple lifestyle. Just traveling my most enjoying life. Walk to the beach. In 2023 we stayed 1 1/2 months in Mexico 🇲🇽 City, Florida and other USA States. I always thought of moving out from California. My three siblings left California to Chandler and Gilbert Arizona. My other sister left California to another California, Elk Grove, Sacramento. I am still here in Ventura County. She is beautiful Filipina. Very accommodating. Maganda at simple. Today’s date is June 14, 2024, Friday afternoon.
I thought the title meant that you regret moving out of CA. So where are you guys nowadays? Please be mindful that your music BLARES out of nowhere. It is not the same level volume as your speaking voice. Please consider this when doing edits.
It's Really Really Cheap To Live In South Dakota. Brookings Sd Is A Real Nice Place To Live In. There Are Two Very Very Nice Towns Really Really Close By Aurora And Volga Sd You Should Move To South Dakota ❤
After I build 2 homes in my property for the kids I am moving with my Filipino wife to Phillipines ! We have a big house by the ocean and a lot of land in Mindanao and possibly build in Rosarito,Mexico by the ocean in my lot !Do not like California now !
Now..2024 if you move out don't plan to come back permanently. Any income less than 100k is poverty here. It took over 18 yrs of hanging on by a thread to find the right job, company for us in SJ and we endure housing situation to hang on to the great job a little longer. At some point soon it wont be sustainable. State Farm increasing rates up to 50%, my Esurance and several others pulled out of CA dumping all customers. When things that support life in CA leave its time to get out, and yes you can.
But u are going to move again cause u dont want to live in Oklahoma. So in a sense u are repeating your mistakes by storing and then them hauling ot to your next place again
Sis ok lng yan baka my mas better plan ang lord kaya nangyayari ang lahat maybe soon back to cali ulit kayo who knows my bagong offer ke oztin na mas maganda soon
oo nga sis!🥰 we will never know talaga hehe malay mo one day magkapit bahay n pla tayo!😅 thank you so much sis!🥰 hope everything is going well with u there too🥰❤️
Well if you are rich, i guess you would like it. But if you are elderly on ss Nd getting taxed because people want everyone to pay for them. And politicians were not rich when they went in office but they will be wealthy with while people are poor because of the laws they put in. Energy is out of this world and they charge you whatever they want to. I can't see how these people can afford to move back. You must be liberals they get breaks.
I've worked in OK. What a toilet. Mistake #1. Moving close to family is the worst. Mistake #2. Decisions with out God's blessing are bad. You seem on a roll of bad decisions. Your story gave me a headache.
thank you for the detailed comment 👍 #1 everything is temporary and nothing is permanent. We don’t mind moving next to family because we like ours #2 we are firm believers that everything happens for a reason and we are on track with what god has blessed us with, im sorry you cant see everyone’s experiences and journey through life is different from your own. #3 try exedrin for the headache and make sure you get the extra strength because our story isnt over 🤷♂️
Little too late for your information I did use our card in 2017 and yes it’s very expensive to Texas because I had my brother there. Supposed to be he was going to help me my husband got a job California paid he’s a contractor he only lasted six months on the job and we sold, all our properties here in elk grove area become a state shit and left. Everything went good. Left everything in storage and try our luck in Texas in the weather it’s disgusting specially with the storms and tornadoes. We lasted only two years and a half and we left with $1.5 million and when we came back $600,000 enough to live in a neighborhood that we used to live or have a renter like we used to have. It is very hard to live in California specially when that’s the only state you have your whole life as an adult to go to another state that the weather is not very kind and very nice like we have here. Not all the taxes I’m very close in other states and that’s when we left the taxes and insurance work for Rendez and I wish, somebody would’ve told me that my brother didn’t do his job. So I tell every Californian who wants to you leave that state bank twice you know what a California is very hard to come back and you regret it.
