I had 1970 jeep with 225 in it, had Kenny Bell do the engine work. Cam and Elterbrauc hirise aluminum manifold and four barrel carb. I had backed with sm 465 Chevy Trans, it was hell of a Jeep!!!
I’ve spent 4 years on a 69 cj full restoration; 225v6 rebuilt with all the mods, power steering, th350, power disc brakes with hanging pedal, headers with same exhaust etc… lockers… on and on. Did an initial break in on the engine a couple weeks ago; and I have a knocking that I cannot figure out…. Pretty devastated at this point. I’m running out of motivation to solve the problem… very difficult mentally for me…. Was my dads Jeep…. Probably just need a break from it.
yeah - it’s for fun. don’t let it get you down. I run into problems all the time… just take a break, and then get back to it when you feel motivated. You’ll get it! and your Dad would be proud!
Hey, don't knock us ol t imers!! lol. Nice ol jeep, I kind am for keeping it as is?? I've got 2 old jeeps, an M38A1, and a cj5, both 1955. I'm getting ready to put an oddfire 231 in the 5. Good times. Love to see you youngsters enjoying the hobby!!
