He reminds me of Derek Sivers. Intelligent, brilliant entrepreneur with profound wisdom who is ALSO adept at delivering the knowledge with tact and extreme insightfulness.
this is absolutely the best interview so far- i love the philosophical approach Mike has to business because all business should be a spiritual pursuit to better oneself and humanity and NOT solely doing business for accumulating money, accolades, possessions and power, which are meaningless after you cover all your basic needs. Ryan, please bring more guests like Mike, this interview was so delightful to watch and listen to. We need more people and entrepreneurs to adopt this holistic, ethical approach to business and life. Thank you, Ryan, for creating the space and the platform for true leaders to show us the way of becoming our best version for ourselves and for humanity as a whole.
I liked this episode alot. As I reflect, I realize it's not just what Mike said, it's who he was being as he said it. You can see and feel the peace he has with where he's at and what he's up to right now. He's got an understated confidence and certainty that is refreshing.
"I believe I can do anything, and its just a matter of learning stuff". If everyone had that mindset...... thank you Ryan and Mike! An hour+ so well spent listening. Emma
@@RyanDanielMoran I'm watching a LOT of your podcasts in the run up to Austin! This one was particularly powerful, I always appreciate your willingness to be honest about your own inner game like here, and in your emails. Helps to know we all have the same inner gremlins!
This is not only my favorite podcast that you've ever done, it may be my favorite podcast of all time. Such a profound discussion that really resonated with me. Tapping into our inner power source. We all have it, it's always been there, we just need to tap into it and not be afraid to share it. Finding our flow and going with it. The anti-"GRIND IT OUT - I WILL OUT WORK YOU" yadayadayada that's been instilled in me. Listen to your inner power source, let it guide you. Loved how the things we love more about superheros is how they share they powers with the world. And we all have them. I will be listening to this one many times over.
This was brilliant! Thank you both very much. I'm going to be listening to this again as there was so much good stuff to ponder and take on board. I can relate to the things you're reflecting on, Ryan. Here's to a more effortless 2024!
I can’t help but observe several inaccuracies coming from Mike. He also downplays the fact that he had a home, had a vehicle, had money, etc - he essentially had the basic means already there before he even built his Photo Booth company and this he reveals on another podcast called the Money Pillow. This is not a situation of a homeless man in poverty with no money trying to create a Photo Booth business. Moreover, he had help from another guy to get his idea off the ground and it didn’t happen fast. Best to take what this guy says with a pinch of salt and keep in mind, that not everyone is in a stable position as Mike Tecku was, though he downplays it. Mike, if you want a genuinely effortless good idea and wisdom, you’ll find it in the Bible. Let’s see if you’ll read or seek and love the actual truth, instead of loving making money.
Thanks Mike and Ryan for sharing insights on how to refocus and find meaning. I suggest a new title for the episode. Something like "Refocusing to find your genius and your WHY". Be well
This was profound and so meaningful. Thank you gentlemen for having such a candid, vulnerable, no holds barred discussion on the things that matter most. Twas magnificently inspiring. Many thx 🙏.
As a Naturopathic doctor, a) this product interests me and b) the thought process and critical thinking that is occurring here is in and of itself anti aging and therapeutic :) probably the best podcast you’ve had and most insightful guest ( but they’ve all been great/ just this one resonated in my bones for me ) “The purpose of life is to discover your gift; the work of life is to develop it; and the meaning of life is to give your gift away.” - David Viscott.
Thanks so much! Lots of naturopathic doctors have been recommending it to their patients. Try it and let me know what you think. We have wholesale options available for doctors as well.
Thanks Mike. Thanks Ryan. You know what? Mike seems like a serious, calm and collected person. He speaks so eloquently. And when he speaks, it feels so deep. And then he does Arnold impression. That cracks me up. But awesome session guys. I am subscribed now.
Thanks for your vulnerability Ryan. IMO this is the shortfall of capitalism as we know it. Of the things that have existed and created my nature, and even humans before capitalism. Once you realize this capitalism feels small, and you can't unsee the reality of that. It's a narrow sliver of all of the things that can be created.
That’s well said. I hope to be a bridge builder between what most people call “capitalism,” and what I believe it to be - which is a system through which strangers create and serve one another.
Super powers, helping others because what else would you do with it, vs being trapped in ego survival mode. Love it, thanks for that, it answers questions I have had.
THIS RIGHT HERE IS GOLD. You sound much like Bashar. Follow your highest excitement with zero attachment to any outcomes! YES! I already see your $100M success. Keep killing it softly! (:
Every day I watch talk and hear podcasts, some good, some ok, and suddenly there is this interview. Sticks out of the sea of conversations like a lighthouse. What a man (If I could only live with someone like him). And it's not the money, it's the mindset that toches and connects deeply with me. Thank you for this interview just at the right time.
This is the most profound video on youtube. Everyone who is "successful" has videos selling THEIR way of being successful. I have watched 100's of business/entrepreneur videos and the one thing I have learned from all of them is that you success is your own path. Take what God has given you (your interests, your talents, what your are good at, what virtuous things excite you, where you are right now) and go all-in on that! Don't start a brand if you don't want to, don't start a marketing agency if that's not you, etc... If it is an area that you are interested in growing in, go ahead. Don't grind in something that you don't like the grind. Grind creating something that God has put in you.
BRILLIANT- Should be taught in College- Follow your excitement (Bashar). Mike the whole soccer situation in America needs a thinker like you- we should produce a 'Messi" but we wont the way we think. Help us with your mind:)
One of my favorite Ryan interviews of all time! This idea of pursuing business as a spiritual art of creation really resonated with me. Mike has so much wisdom in asking, "What would this look like if it were easy?" and then actually following through to create so much effortless success and live in alignment with his purpose. I'm going to stop paddling upstream and find my river where everything just flows like this! Awesome
This was a deeply insightful conversation. Kind of makes me think I am making just about everything much harder in my head than it needs to be. Prioritizing fun, plant medicine trips, and creativity- here's to a prosperous 2024!
I sent this to someone about halfway through. I really enjoyed this - I thought it was going to be ridiculous, but it ended up actually being realy insightful and interesting. Thanks for putting this one together. I shall check out more of your content.
Thanks for checking me out Paul. Mike and I definitely connected on a deep level in this one. I appreciate you sharing this when you got halfway through. That’s a high compliment.
OMG👏🏼👏🏼 This episode!! Mike you’re amazing! This is the future of entrepreneurship it goes beyond us and making money. There’s something bigger at work 👏🏼👏🏼 This will be what helps us as humans. I couldn’t love this more. So much of what you’re sharing is exactly how I’m rebuilding my biz right now. Thank you so much for this conversation!!
Wow. This was better than I thought it would be. Way more interesting than your normal boring, dry business conversations with cliche over used ideas. This one caught my interest. Interesting cat.
Just a heads-up, Goggins hates running. He's the opposite of what you're explaining. Goggins hates running, therfore he runs. It's all sticks, no carrots. He explains it on the dr huberman podcast.
Yes his superpower is discipline. That was what I was trying to say, not that he loves running. Thank you for pointing that out. If he liked running it wouldn't require discipline.
This session compels me to begin a journal bcuz I’m old and can’t remember all of the sensational nuggets I heard from both of you guys. I’m inspired to unleash my entrepreneurial spirit with an approach of contribution instead of desperation & greed. My life was enhanced today and so thank you for showing up for the recording and publishing this.
@@miketecku thank you much sir! 🙏I'm at that fork in the road. I'm also a musician, ex dj. Now I've learned to trade, and started a business. Very big fan of plant medicines. 🍄
@@sammackesy9755Way to go! I think the trades are going to become incredibly valuable as it can't be outsourced or replaced with software. Almost no competition with huge demand. Once you create a successful business and systemize it, you will be able to scale it or purchase up retiring guys business. Learn, create, systemize. Repeat. Good luck!
Please 🙏 kindly don't take it that hard❗it is GREAT that it all revealed to You at this time instead of in 50 years! 👍 There is no failure, only lessons, on our path trough life...👍 blessings 🙏🕊️🌟
Why does building a $100 million company become one's priority when one has enough money already. Is it an unconscious need for more power? We see the invisible quest for more power revealed in most cultures in their business and political leaders.
Can we all be careful before we go chasing ayahuasca journeys please. The demand from the west is high, which is leading to charlatans selling experiences that aren’t genuine or safe. Please do your research first, do not go off half-cocked. It’s very powerful.
This is very dangerous thinking yall. Remember he said that this all came to him AFTER he didn’t need the money. If yall don’t have financial freedom yet then that needs to be the focus FIRST!🎉
it gets annoying how the interviewer keeps interrupting, let the other person finish his thought process, gosh get over yourself lol the gap is too far 😅 the interviewee is on spiritual level, while the interviewer is stuck hard in 3D ego, hurts to watch sorry ill take myself out
I appreciate you giving me a chance and at least listening for a bit. Thank you for checking out the channel. I hope you find other content that you find more impactful on your journey.
Ryan is what made the conversion possible. He is speaking on behalf of the audience and did a great job of making my stream of conscious make sense to the listener.
@@RyanDanielMoran lol exactly what im saying 😅 i came for Mike Tecku✌his part of the interview is impactful and he kept being interrupted.. Anyway I am just an unknown person on the internet and people like me could never devalue you from just a comment. Wth do we know, right lol. But if you rewatch your videos and see some points for improvement, you'll thank yourself down the line! Self awareness goes a long way! Keep going!
Mike's brilliant. His motivation statement starting at time 34:42 is to use a business goal as opportunity to personally grow. "You have improved your thinking and ability to take actions to the point that a very challenging business outcome was attained" It's totally different from just wanting money. Fantastic stuff! That is a fork in the road for how to proceed, for ANYONE who wants to achieve a challenging goal. It is MISSING from most (all?) business books. You have fantastic guests! Great show, thank you
Just remember, your life belongs to your creator. I pray everyone come to put their faith in Jesus Christ, Who chose to come in the flesh and die for the world's sins so we could have eternal life. Just imagine what He has instore for you to create in erernity. Jogn 3:16.
I'm sorry Ryan, I'm a fan of your content but this is the wrong message. This guy talking about getting to $100M working 2 hrs a day while his business has currently done less than $1M? What happened to hard work, grit, perseverance, work ethic? This is frankly just lazy and not the right message for entrepreneurs
I agree with you and I actually don't say that. I've spoken to Ryan about it. I said I'm trying to focus on optimizing my decision making for a 2 hour window but it was edited. I have spent years working and building this new company, many hours a day. The difference is that I focus on things that are in my natural skill set and desire so it doesn't feel like work to me. The 100M comment is just a large scale goal to think bigger and adjust my long term thinking, not that I have done that or am inauthentically telling you how to do that.
Thanks Mike, I appreciate the additional color. Totally makes sense and I agree with you on finding something that doesnt feel like work to you is the best way to go@@miketecku
Hmm...interesting. I'm curious to know how long you been in the "entrepreneur" space. The Hard work, grit, perseverance mindset is diminishing my friend. It's 2024 not 1980. Why not attempt to "understand" something different vs sticking with what you think you know? (:
@@TimShieldsPhotography Hard work is a way to do it. I believe strategy is the most likely source of success. If effort and time were correlated to financial outcomes everyone would be a billionaire. Less than 10% of company's ever do more than $1M a year and even fewer are profitable. This is my 5th company to go past $1M. There were many things I've quit along the way though. I do not push boulders uphill. Logically you must see that if you are already working all day 6 days a week to get to 1M, you must find time leverage somewhere to get to $10M since working harder isn't possible.
The absolute ridiculousness of what we all seem to encounter at the 'top of the mountain', which Ryan describes quite well at time 15:04, when he says "Which, by the way, is a 1st-world problem - and once you get there, you realize there's no party at the top of the mountain" Maybe it is because, for the majority of our lives, we have a survival need, a pressure to 'make progress', and then it's not there. It's disorienting, and it's unexpected. But what Ryan said is 100% true. It feels like a combination of "loss of purpose", "confusion", "anxiety", and "deep need to find the next gig" I compare to how a racing driver probably feels, once he's in the lead of the race - he can't improve his possible race outcome any more by overtaking other drivers, because he passed everyone already, so he has to rely on telemetry, he has to rely on his team in the pits telling him his lap times, and then find the need to improve his lap time. It comes down to, you have got to create a reason to get out of bed every day, a purpose. .
This was a life-changing episode and really echoes my own intuition of how I would like to and currently am trying to play my own business game. 💎 Ryan, you really do rock with your philosophical approach to having business conversations - "What are the meaningful intangibles that truly matter when it comes to mixing life and business together?" - RDM probably
