Is there a way for quick disconnecting the wand/hose from the sprayer? I have a couple small 1 Gal sprayers I use for spot spraying when I don’t need to use my backpack sprayer. I still want the option to use this wand setup though. Also, the link for the Quick cap doesn’t work. I did a search on their website but there’s a bunch of them and I’m not sure which one is needed.

So now that we are all building awesome spraying wands what do we do for tanks and pumps? Do we build our own too or just buy one and put an awesome wand on it.

Get on "Craigs List" /Farm or Garden section. There is someone always selling plastic drums CHEAP. There are 2 plugs on the end, 3/4" and a larger some have a threaded sealed end inside also for a 3/4". When using make sure to unscrew the cap your not using slightly to let air in or it will collapse the drum. I always use the smaller opening for the outlet/hose and I open up the 3/4" on the larger and use a couple PVC pipe fittings for the air. The drums usually come in 16,32,55 gallon. I use the 16, very convenient.

QUESTION: I own a My4Sons electric 4 Gallon backpack sprayer. What (if any) CF valve psi rating would you recommend? It operates up to ~60psi. Absolutely love this video!!! Thx!
@realJohnWare
@realJohnWare Год назад
You could omit the CF Valve on an electric sprayer because the electric pump should do a pretty good job of maintaining constant pressure/flow. The CF Valve is really there to regulate the flow on a manual pump sprayer where the pressure increases/decreases the more/less you pump. That said, I have seen some folks use a CF Valve on an electric sprayer without issue. I would use the blue 29psi or green 43.5psi. The yellow 14.5psi and red 21psi are better suited for manual pump applications. If the pump will support it, the ~40psi one would be nice because most of the TeeJet nozzle chart performance data is based on 40psi.

Terry Watts no the threads are all 11/16-16 on that end of the wand. The nozzle body would thread directly onto the wand extension. 👍🏼

@realJohnWare
@realJohnWare 2 года назад
I would probably go 14.5 or 21 PSI for a handheld pump sprayer. You’ll want it to be 11/16 TeeJet threads if using the parts in this video.

Works amazing but I don’t know how to drain the hose and wand when finished spraying or how to relive the pressure so my backpack sprayer isn’t pressurized at all times in storage.
@realJohnWare
@realJohnWare 4 месяца назад
With a hand pump sprayer stop pumping and continue to spray until the pressure reduces enough for you to open the lid. Rinse the tank and repressurize to flush the hose/wand with water.
@julian11able

I just “finally” got around to assembling everything and have come up with an issue. This is connecting to a Ryobi backpack battery sprayer and the existing hose end that connects to the wand has a 1” diameter threaded end. The hose from the Ryobi has a larger diameter than the swivel barb recommended here. So now I’m kinda stuck. Any input on how to best proceed would be appreciated. Thx!

This may be a dumb question but I looked at my 2 sprayers that I have and can't figure out for the life of me how you connect the wand to an existing sprayer without cutting the hose off and splicing it in. Is the a video showing this at all?
@realJohnWare
@realJohnWare 3 месяца назад
Many come apart, but you can also cut the hose right behind the old sprayer wand to remove. The wand described in this video has a brass hose barb fitting that you would insert into the hose and clamp. A stainless worm gear clamp will suffice, or a pinch clamp if you want to get fancy. 👍🏼
