Based on an article by Bob Nickels, W9RAN, I built an exciter with a digital oscillator and a 100 watt modulator with 811-As and a single 813 power amplifier.
Bob's article showed how to use programmable oscillator chips and a board kit from Hayseed Hamfest to eliminate the need for quartz crystals.

Very slick as usual! But I thought you'd power it with your McCormick Deering-powered generator...

Old School Reference material at its finest. Never throw the old handbooks out. They are the greatest resource. Nice video production and graphics. Professionally made. Are you and the group going to have another get together soon? If you are interested, I have a few pictures to show you a commercial hf antennas site that I have access to and use my qrp rig on it and got some good results. Just need a way to send them to you.

Like your design I may email you for schematics I have two extra ART-13 mod transformers plus a power supply with 1800v, 425v, and 28v perfect for your design. Been looking for a good design for the one of the ART-13 mod transformers glad I found your video.

Nice work! I’m currently building a CW rig with an 6ag7 Osc with 6550 final. Output into a dummy load puts it at around 20 watts. I plan on adding an amp stage and possibly a modulator stage. We’ll see. Love the way the cabinets look! More rigs should be showing off the tubes as you did. 73 Dave W6CPY
