Fun at the shack of N6tlu. Wine radios, hot tubes, cake, Dogs, Tea, Life at its fullest! Have you tried vintage amateur radio? See what your missing? Get in on this hobby, join us old guys, enjoy the plate modulation. I need to take time to enjoy my friends on the air. Work too much these days. Time is short. Soon I will look back and wonder where it went.

You are inspiring me to dig out my Viking. Got it from a friend who had it stored in a barn for many years. He sent it to me and it is in humble shape. But it's something that deserves to be brought back.

Hahaha, this was your finest hour Terry! Absolutely great. I love having the occasional 'wobbly pop' (PBR. lol). I just bought a new Viking II to restore! Also a Hammarlund HQ-140x and a Hallicrafters SX-62A to restore, neither of which will be very good for 80 and 160 am but it's all I've got. I wish we could work each other.. but not possible: i'm in Clio. lol. Working other 'ganders is HARD! Be well you old knob spinner

Very cool! Because of the snowstorm, the lines are down! Could you please put in a call to the Overlook Hotel? I'm sensing that Danny Torrence is having a problem. Thanks.

Last time I was on AM was from the Fall River MA, W1ACT, radio club back in the early '60s on the 6m band. We had a 5el CC on top of a six (6) story building, HQ-100 (I think) w/AMECO 6m converter and a 2E26 xmtr....those were the good 'ole days.

Terry, You have a lot of classic, great, much desired, valuable equipment...but your greatest TREASURE and most valuable addition to your life is Marcia!!! Hey Marcia! Could I order a glass of wine? ;-) Hey, have you guys seen the wine bottle labeled "Morse Code" wine?

The ham rally miss reminds me of something I did. A few years ago, I drove out from Detroit to Kzoo for the MARC swap meet. Get into the parking lot, and... completely empty. Yep, the event was the next weekend. Well, at least I can say I wasn't late for it. I went back out and attended it the next weekend. Ahhh, it's only wasted gas.

I'd love to learn how to couple in a CBS Audimax/Volumax unit into one of those,. More of an issue of what stage it couples into but those units really enhance the audio modulation.

AM and red wine, we share the same interests on this side of the pond Terry. I like the wine bell idea but think it would be more leathal than the high voltages if I tried that at my QTH LOL 😂 Great video 73 from the UK de M0DAD David.

2 questions: 1 (parts a & b) what frequency were you operating on and can someone with a general licence get in on it? And 2 how can you fix that feedback issue?
@radioman4738
@radioman4738 3 года назад
i was thinking the same thing. maybe around 3275 or 3880 am? as for the feedback a rx/tx relay might help or a speaker relay with a load resistor when in the standby position. nice to hear the quality audio and to see everyone having a good time. 73
