Something you might try as an option to superglue is Dewaxed Shellac. Two coats 20 minutes apart. Fine steel wool, tack cloth and poly varnish. Sterl wool that first coat of poly, tack cloth and second coat. Its really fast and durable. Varnish doesnt need to be built up with many multiple coats.
Very nice !! Man ...since i've been watching your channel i have been inspired to make a few myself. None as nice as yours but still fun. Great video. I always learn something new. Thanks!
The difference between an average catty and a fancy shiny catty is just how long you spend sanding! Stay tuned for the next episode of MIKE SANDS! 😂 Thanks for the positive feedback!
Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is go to the killing woods with a pocket knife, bandset, and some ammo, then come out with fresh killed game. Of course you have to bring us along via your great video story telling/ instruction/ skill/ entertainment through the process of a pocket knife build, getting on target, and then completing a hunt. I know you videoed all the parts. It would be epic to do all of it in one video, on the fly. This message will self destruct in 24 hours.😂
great build Mike, gotta watch those routers, they bite, lol. BTW, what you're calling butt caps I personally consider them as palm swells ? Butt caps to me are different woods glued to the very end of the handles opposite the fork tips, but still, beautiful frame my friend. Love the frame I got from you. ( Sling-N-Shot )
LOL, when I was a kid, a rubber broke at full draw, and it popped me in the eye. Boy did that hurt for a while. We shot marbles and there are still marbles all around Tomah Wi. today and now I'm 82. You hit a bird with a marble and knock feathers all over. We would look for the perfect crotch that would fit our hand and bingo you had a fine slingshot.
Man this was a great video 👍 Locust is some of my favorite, but seeing someone put a marker on wood made me jump up and down and pull my hair out and scream and shout . Beautiful outcome anyway 👌
Very very good video! thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. And to top it off you skull capped a pheasant!! Can't imagine it getting much better than that?!!! But I'm sure you'll find a way.
I love your channel and your build vids. I did find your eBay page but noticed that all your slings were 100 mm, do you ever make 90? If you did I would jump all over that.
I put up batches on eBay. There are only a couple up right now, they sell pretty quick, but more should drop next month. www.ebay.com/usr/sturmslingshots
